Thanks Dannnnnnnnnn, I guess the question then is - do you (or any of the other VFL watchers) think he has the potential to make our AFL list?
No. Unfortunately he is a poor man's Ayce Cordy, can't see him being much better at a higher level.

If you're done with it, why bother even posting something pointless like that? It was a valid point in a discussion regarding a 2nd ruck / fwd and one of the first times I have ever mentioned it.
Not an attack on you. But the convo you're defending is the epitome of pointless and deserves its own thread.

Which do I rate most highly or which is realistic? ;)

I would cross Lycett and Witts off the list - they can play in the same side as the team's #1 ruckman without much of an issue so I doubt they'd leave. Sinclair gets his hand to a lot of hitouts but they are wayward hitouts. Solid around the ground. I'd be interested for a cheap trade but not much more. He'd instantly displace Cordy and do a much, much better job than him though so that's a plus. Naismith and Nankervis are too far off senior footy for mine - if we're looking to trade for another option we'd want him to be capable soon, I think. Hickey I'm yet to be convinced on and has a worrying injury history. I like Phillips - equally capable in the ruck and around the ground. Nicholls has a lot of talent - very athletic but gets pushed/held out of ruck contests too easily - his work is very much to advantage though.

Nicholls probably costs you a decent asset; Phillips probably does also. Sinclair might be a good cheap option. I've discussed this with you before but if searching for a capable, ready-to-go ruckman who's also capable up forward, Jarrad Redden is the man to target - would cost a bit though.
I like how both Jarrad Redden's first and second names are in the form abccbd, and both have R and D. Let's get him.

Never understood how he didn't at least grab a rookie spot but 18 other blokes are paid to know why and they all voted as one.
Surely something we don't know happened with Tyler , I remember at one stage he was touted to go around pick 20 , he is 194cm they don't grow on trees still actually shocked

He has nothing special, no high quality difference making attribute. He should concentrate on building his endurance to elite levels and then will get an opportunity.

Played down back on McCartin one game in the champs had 25 odd touches and 10 marks and gave McCartin a bath , was worth at least a rookie spot

To hole in the Keitel story, though, is that not only did we not rate him (and we're screaming out for KPP), no one else rated him on a primary list or a rookie spot, and all these guys watch the games in much greater detail than any of us. I suspect if he was good enough, he'd have been given an opportunity.
