Just noticed on Essendons board someone saying they served Mrs. crozier not long ago and she said it's likely he'll request a trade back home at seasons end. This your man Pannalstaroz?

Not quite, think Panna (via his little bird) said we were trying to get Walker last year but the Boyd deal left us no time. So far as I can tell Walker is on our radar.
but if we get Walker, Redpath wont play and everyone would lose their shit.

Not me. No idea.

Walker slight interest last year. Jaksch bigger interest. Hoping the Walker interest continues.

I keep thinking Walker is 25-27 years old, blokes only 22 year old
Precisely. The baldness makes him look older.

Am I the only one not fully sold on Roughy as a long term full back? every time he plays on a mobile forward he gets carved up and caught in horrible positions, a lot has to do with pressure up the ground, but still. Every time a team doesn't have that 2nd ruck/tippett type KPF I get worried about him.

Some news at hand.

Jake Carlisle will be leaving Essendon. No interest in staying at all.

We've tabled a significant long term deal. We're not the only club in there swinging though. Carlton, Collingwood and norf have already fired shots as well.

We had a big swing last off-season before the Boyd thing happened, and the Carlisle camp weren't confident we'd still have the cap space to go again this time around...........but we do.

Only minor catch is that he's adamant about playing chb. Still, if he's gettable, you just do it and work out the rest later.
Terrific news. Surely Carlton will back out as they need a rebuild, not throwing high picks to bring in mature age guys. Not to mention I can't imagine Carlisle being happy about going there to not play finals for the next 4-5 years. Collingwood could pip us being a big club but if he still loves the Doggies being a fan as a young bloke and we offer similar money, we should win out.

Exciting.

Talia isn't untradeable if JC walks through the door. And WHE will do more for our team than Talia. Of course these are hypotheticals
I think Talia has the makings of an intercept KPB in the mould of Brian Lake. His marking is exceptional and his best games have come with a bit of freedom to roll. Shame about his kicking but it has improved to "pass" at AFL level in the last 3 years in the main. I see it as no surprise that he is coming on under the Drinks more individually creative gameplan.

I couldn't trade him, I wouldn't trade him, but .....if were going to trade him you'd surely start a dialogue with Adelaide to unite the brothers. They might be inclined to pay a little bit over the rest of the comp for the synergies and it's probably the gentlest discussion you could have with the guy to enquire if he was interested in relocating. I rate Talia more than many others so I personally just couldn't do it.

Hence why he should be playing in the ruck as well as in defence, particularly when their is no suitable option for him in defence then he spends good time in the ruck. Carlisle is the dream here, he allows us to do that and still have Talia supporting Carlisle in defence.

Carlisle'd go alright. I'd put him
Chb because he's a gun at it. I'd keep talia as the second kpd who does the dirty work and Id get carlisle to mark everything and set us up. Roughy would then become the 2nd ruck/ utility where he'd just go where he needs to. I like him back but if Carlisle came it'd give us epic kpp flexibility.

Why not Rance instead? Keep our first pick for taking someone in the draft or WHE.
Carlisle vs Rance plus first round pick are the choices.
2 years older & he might retire come the end of the year
but any of Rance, Henderson, Carlisle would be great additions to the club
