I've decided to start listening to podcasts while I exercise. I've subscribed to Triple M's The Rub and I'm glad I did. I want to draw your attention to a segment called 'Tell me something I don't know'

Wayne Carey for his bit, said he'd spoken to Dodoro and McConville, manager of Carlisle and said that he would 'guarantee' Carlisle will stay at the Bombers. I'm not doubting Fronk's mail, just find it very interesting, especially how emphatic he was about it.

This next but isn't trade related but I'm putting it here anyway. Jay Clark then stepped up and talked about David Stevenson. Said we were close to announcing a big scalp to join our football department to join, Jay's quote - David Lowe and Ben Graham. BT said David and Jay said exactly so a bit more research needed by Jay there but he suggested an announcement to be made in the next fortnight or so.

I want kpf Carlisle instead of chb Carlisle :(
His one game against us where he looked like the second coming of carey and ablett probably clouds our judgement. He certainly has the ability to be a decent forward, but a better defender. If he did decide to comet o us, you probably wouldnt quibble too much, would you?

I'm not a fan of players trying to stipulate which position they play. This is where Higgins lost me. It is 'me' focused, not 'team' focused. If Jake C did come, his best position for us would be CHF as the alternative of him down back and Roughie or Tails up forward would not be as strong from a team balance point of view.

If he is demanding CHB ... move on and find someone else!

To be brutally honest - of all of our young guys that have shown signs, Hunter is one of my biggest concerns. I'm yet to be close to convinced that he makes it, and I'm even more unsure of whether he fits into our side in the not-too-distant future. I wouldn't be averse to moving him if it netted somebody that could have both an instant and prolonged impact on the side...but I would prefer to keep him if at all possible.

Not the best kick , tries to do to much and is lazy
Stringer tries to do too much as well. You need players like that and I'm sure as hell Bev will be backing them to play their natural game, which at this stage means trying to do too much. How do you think players like Steve Johnson started off? In time they will learn when to do the basic thing and when to do something special but at the moment I don't want to be trying to take that out of their game.

Pays off for stringer more than hunter and stringer is a freak , don't think we can have two in one side doing too much that is , hunter is 20 which is an upside I think we could trade him if it was for a need as hunter is replaceable only my opinion though

I think Hunters main problem is his defensive side, he just doesn't chase and pressure enough, he runs hard and is quite quick offensively but defensively he is slow and generally gives up very easily, hate to use the comparison but he is a lot like Higgins get his defensive game up and he will be a very good player

Hunter was very young for his draft year. You could effectively consider him a 2nd year player. A 2nd year player that's averaged 14 touches and 2 goals every 3 games, without really seeing any midfield action.

He has the tank, the skills and the creativity to be a damaging mid. One that complements our pack of down and dirty contested guys.

The last things to come for most kids are professionalism, consistency and attention to detail defensively. Hunter will seriously improve in all these areas.

I think we've been spoilt by how quickly macrae and bonti have come on. They're exceptions rather than the rule.

No way in hell I'd be trading him for walker.

I'm not against trading one of our young mids for the right piece. I'm a massive U.S. Sports fan and I actually think, in general, as a fan base, we're way too conservative with our views on trading.

But I do think hunter is being seriously undervalued here. Walkers 2 years older. If hunters not a better afl footballer than walker in 2 years time, I'll.........well I don't know what I'll do. But I'll start by being very very surprised.

See how quick Two Planks was to find the deal very very amenable to Geelong????

Some times you have to pay overs if it's the best option for the team and to win a flag
