Takes the easy option all the time. I thought he was better last week but poor today. But it'll be hard to drop anyone out of a 100 point win.
When our mids work as hard as they do to create space, alot of the time there are only easy options. In any case, at least he knows his limits, unlike Darley. Happy for him to take the 'easy' option if it gets it into the hands of Bob or JJ etc who have significant metres gained stats each week and use the ball well.

Underrated around here just how good he was. Sub in his first game and even showed a little bit, then racked up 20 + in his first 2 full games, and looked absolutely at home.
Should be back in two weeks, but doesn't give himself change of getting back into seniors. So mentioned he'll be back for VFL finals.

His injury was so disappointing, I have no doubt whatsoever he'd still be in the side. But thats good to hear, ripping up the VFL finals would be fantastic for him.

Wasn't having a go, just saying that the team defence adopted by all of Clarkson's disciples means that reliance on one defender is negated. I was huge on Carlisle, but even now I'm not sure we need him. I guess this week will highlight our needs if we get pumped.

hey hey hey..... I was pleasant ;)
I'll be interested to see how our defence goes against better clubs. Hope we aren't carried away with our beating up some shot teams.

It starts this week against WC. They have a good fwd line.

I'd personally love a gun KP or 2, at present we really only have battler KPs. Teams without good KPs don't tend to win many big finals.

I used to REALLY like Trent McKenzie and wished he was a Bulldog for his first 3-4 years. Every time I watch him now, he disappoints me. He's actually a very average defender and is constantly out-bodied and lets his man out the back too easily etc. His kicking is obviously a nice feature, but the long down field barrels to nobody aren't exactly high %. He would just be a depth guy for us IMO.
While he is average 1-on-1, I think he'd be a lot better in our system where he wouldn't be exposed one-on-one very often and he could use his speed and leap to his advantage.

Id be willing to throw him back in when he's right and has his fitness back. We need X factor come finals, and he's one id roll the dice on.

Yeah true, considering how quick he picked up the pace of the game last time theres no reason he couldn't do that again. It'd be a huge call though, first year player coming off an injury returning probably in the finals if he's 2 weeks off VFL now. Probably pushes out a decent player at the rate were going. If anyone was to make a call like that though itd be Bev!
