Still doesn't make much sense to do a medical on mad Monday to me.

And when fully fit Luenberger is a much better player then Tom Campbell. Take a look at his 2013 season, he was one of the best ruckman in the league.

Pick 30-35 for each of them? I imagine that's all we'd get, and in a shallow draft that's a shame. Would rather keep them.
Hmm, if thats the case I'd prefer we find some experience suitable players. Don't think this is the year to stack up on draft picks (outside the top 25).

I'd imagine thats the best we could get.

Grant also I reckon we may not hold onto. This late in the season and apparently there has been a fair bit of interest.
Let's not make the same mistake with Grant again (turning down Brisbane's second round) and get the highest offer we can for him.

He is a free agent. Can go to any team he likes.
I think he should go to the Dogs.

The Grant issue has me bemused. He's getting a game and playing a role. If we didn't think he was any good or leaving he'd be in the 2's. This being the case, why would he want to leave unless it was to a top 8 team? If it was money alone then I'd be disappointed as I still think he owes us a bit.
We aren't saving him as trade bait as he's a RFA.

Ok after typing that I'm even more bemused.

That may be the case but I'd still like to balance this list up with some experience (has to fit the criteria of being a good character/ play a position of need etc).
I don't know taking 5 in the draft hasn't hurt us the last few years actually it has helped us to build a monster.

We still have Boyd, Moz, Murph, Picken etc who have the experience. If we take an older player it would be a mature rookie.

I can't justify a pick around 15 for a soon to be 29 year old. Brisbane need to throw something else in.
He's lucky to be worth a 3rd rounder. Similar to what Essendon gave up for Cooney.
You give up first round picks on guys like Carlisle. Not 29 year olds who are delisted from bottom feeder clubs.

completely different to Cooney.

He just dominated the league this season and is the second best ruckman. Cooney on the other had an indifferent 5/10 season with us.

That being said I dont want to part a valuable pick for him.

lastly I hate to cast aspersions but his current circumstance raises alarm bells:

-absolute monster upper body physique, low body fat and high mass on a very big/tall frame.
-has a huge tank
-has an alleged 500-600 pound deadlift for an endurance athlete that doesnt train powerlifting.
-was a fringe player now a topliner in his late 20's

putting the dots together on the above it sounds too much like the 'fringe athlete rolls the dice' story that you hear all too much about. I'd hate to get him only for him to piss hot.

not sure if its been mentioned but, Jed Adcock was the deference on the week end, he looked very composed in attack and has played his bulk career as a defender. Abit of a swin man if you ask me.

Im for giving him a go on Brett Goodes rookie possition next year assuming Goodes doesnt get a contract extension.

He was captain and played a fair few finals with Brisbane. Surely would benifit the kids and help monitor them. Thoughts?
