This thread is ridiculous. You have a whole lot of posters wanting the world to know that they are privy to information that others are not privy to, yet they don't want to share it for fear of it being wrong. The only reason they keep posting and replying to questions with "no comment" is because they want people to know that they are in the loop.

It's pretty simple really, stop talking about cards falling in place, and certain things needing to happen, because all it does is increase the speculation and innuendo surrounding the player.

FWIW, I don't want Carlisle. It has nothing to do with this supposed rumour (which if is what I have heard, I would be blown away if it's true, knowing the family and their background). Put it to bed and let the club do their job.
People being privy to info and not sharing the whole story might be so they don't incriminate the source. They don't want to take the risk that the person that gave them the info can be named and shamed. I know somebody involved in the club, there is no way I would put their job in jeopardy on the chance of backlash from something written here. That isn't fair at all.

Ok change of Topic, what are our Fringe players worth at the trade table, and can we use any of them to get a deal done for a ruckman or KPB + say a later draft pick

I want to talk rucks also :)

I want to know what ruckman we have supposedly signed up... Mcevoy? I don't know..
From what dogga91 said on Tuesday night that it's a number 1 ruck type, I would guess it's out of

Martin, Kreuzer, Witts, McEvoy, Longer, Hickey and Nicholls

Any more info regarding the ruckman Mark Stevens thinks we already have in the bag????
I'm itching for this also

Will be disappointed if it's Kreuzer/Leuenberger etc though
We've gone down that route too much lately and ended up with a massive amount of small fwd/mid types while our KPP stocks are slim.

Go needs, get prospective talls (Brown, Hartley, Coughlan etc) or someone who has serious pace/is an athlete in the JJ or Blicavs mould that may fall down the pecking order because their football output isn't that good yet but has scope to improve.

Tom Williams for etc was drafted as an athlete, but what we gave up to get him was stupid, if he was a late pick I'd be happy with his output.

If it turn out we get Carlisle and a ruckman. What type of players do people think we wil go for in the draft?
Yep. Who knows what our team needs in the year 2020? Just get the best now.

I'm happy to trade our first round pick too. We already have such a ridiculously young list anyway and adding more young players will increase the salary cap jam that's coming when every player on our list has lots of football left in them and are chasing bigger salaries.

From the looks of it, Freeman is of the Easton Wood - huge quadriceps, broken hamstrings type of deal.

Can the guy play? Maybe we get him down to VU to relearn his hammies like Mr Wood.

He could as a junior - but does he fill a need? I'd rather give forward/mid time to Toby Mclean than trade another one in.

Agreed

Players like Minson, Murph, Morris, Boyd, Crameri, Picken etc won't be there or will be on reduced terms by when our young guns are out of contract and demanding larger terms

While we have salary cap room, we commit the long-term required types and we should get in experience who will help us immediately, a KPD and a ruck for etc will help if Talia, Grant and Minson for etc are the casualties to make it happen.

If it happens I won't be losing any sleep over it if it means we've improved our list.

Answering my own question from a flick through phantoms of '13, he is basically a Jong type of player. All about the burst. But he isnt a particularly smart player, nor does he have an inside game to speak of, and his handballing is apparently poor. Probably somewhat smarter than Jong, but without Jongs aerial ability.

Very disappointed that some of my so-called associates on here haven't PM'd me their understanding of Carlisle Inc.

I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed.
I was and its the kind of thing you could never get to the bottom of unless you personally know those involved and you may well be guessing then as well

If there is any substance to it then it's a police matter and we should not be adding any fuel to it

Those who keep referring to it should be ashamed of themselves

You should be ashamed of yourself, by your own reasoning.

To be fair, if the facts of the whole story are incriminating enough to potentially put someone out of a job then they probably deserve to be put out of a job for revealing them. The snitch is definitely not the person to be protected in this type of scenario; that's if we believe that this is that type of scenario, which I don't.

Let's say the rumours are untrue and we want him. I think our first rounder is pretty fair value. I would certainly not be considering adding Hrovat and Hunter's name should not be mentioned in this discussion unless it's for a straight swap (and even then, no). Thoughts on whether Essendon would accept our first?

Any news on what club Talia has decided on guys ?
No not yet. Although I imagine (whomevers fault it be whether it be ours or Michaels), that he won't be at the club next season.

I was firmly in the must keep catagory before this whole thing blew over.

If you want advice on how you should play on Jake Stringer though he's your man apparently.

I would say hrovat and our second pick is fair. No way I would want to trade hunter.
Throwing on my impartial hat, I wouldn't accept that from an Essendon point of view. A mid first which we have in a straight swap would be heavily considered.

No doubt they will try the first + hunter BS and thats obviously well overs. Nor do I want to give up Hunter either.
