Only if we can re-write his contract. Barely earning his keep in Sydney based on the type of coin he's on.
I'm not sure about that. He definitely isn't playing the role he was recruited to play, however he's averaged 2 goals a game and done quite well splitting the ruck averaging 17 hitouts, 3 tackles and 4 marks in 2015. Probably not worth the 700 - 800k he is on, but would be a decent get if Sydney paid some of his final year and took slightly less money if he were to be traded in.

To be honest though, I don't see Sydney trading him. With Pyke on the verge of retirement Sydney will need him. Unless Minson is also involved in some sort of trade or Sydney pick up a ruck elsewhere.

I don't think we should simply rule any mature aged talent out.
Outside of our rookie pick ups guys like Puopolo and Barlow have shown there are a few gems floating around and it is worth considering some of them.
If we picked up Hudson and Pods when they were under our noses would we have won one of our prelims? It's possible.
My point remains for every Puopolo and Barlow there's 10 Matthew Panos and Brodie Moles' and I think we're past bringing in depth players.

What did jmac say in the above interview?
Talia most likely gone.
Interest in Hrovat but we'd want something v good for him.
Looking at trading up in draft. Didn't mention first round though.
Looking at ruck options but only if right fit. Campbell and Rough ruck options.
Nothing we didn't already know really.

I agree in principle, but in practice I was against Hamling and Biggs last year based on the odds that delistees rarely succeed at other clubs.

IMO Biggs will end up depth, but Hamling could well be pretty good.

So in short, if the club wants to bring in a delistee okay. I'm sure they are aware that the odds that this strategy fails dwarf the chance of it being a success. So I imagine they will be very cautious if they do bring in a delistee.

Still can see Hrovat and P11 maybe helping us get P5 from the Saints. But could also see Tiges doing a deal with Saints involving P12 for Hickey and Saints 2nd rd which they could on trade for Yarran.

Becoming more pleased on the Suckling deal. Great we are now good enough to attract a player like Suckling for non stupid money.

The wheel has turned. I farkin love FA!!

And this is why I like coming across the the Bulldogs board. No bullsh*t NO WAY.....

That is certainly a lot closer!
Make it a trade of firsts and we're on!!
Yeah I would nearly do that.
Generally I don't think we overate our players and Hrovat is a tricky one. He has some great qualities , but injury problems have made it hard to put a real value on him. I believe he will be a 200 game player , but he could also be an also ran. He is difficult to peg.
Hope that makes sense

People talk about ayce as a rookie chance to make sure we have ruck depth. If he's as good as/better than ayce, then talking about fitzy is just as valid. A rookie doesn't really need to crack our defence or forward line
I rather give it to a 18 year old with highly potential than fitzy
Bloke be lucky to sign with a local team

I know it's unrealistic, but I would love to do-

Talia & Minson > Sydney
Hrovat > Hawthorn

Jetta & Anderson > West Coast
Duggan > Dogs

Probably needs a little extra to Hawthorn to be commensurate.

I think it's the kind of deal that could get him from us this year and the other is more of a next year deal
