I know it's unrealistic, but I would love to do-

Talia & Minson > Sydney
Hrovat > Hawthorn

Jetta & Anderson > West Coast
Duggan > Dogs

Probably needs a little extra to Hawthorn to be commensurate.
Like that and so should WC. Would swap 2nd rd picks with Hawks and even throw a 3rd in. Duggan looks cream. Not sure if he still homesick as was reported here a while ago.

Talia most likely gone.
Interest in Hrovat but we'd want something v good for him.
Looking at trading up in draft. Didn't mention first round though.
Looking at ruck options but only if right fit. Campbell and Rough ruck options.
Nothing we didn't already know really.
Interesting, no mention of Minson

Nah he mentioned Minson, referring to him as contracted...also really said he liked Rough as the guy he wants to step up and ruck.

Be interesting what happens with Minno. Bit of talk on WC board about him.

Minson's durability is taken for granted a bit I think - hardly ever injured...

Is Duggan really worth that after a knee injury?
To me it's a classic case of changing multiple decent but unwanted players into one good and very much desired one.

I can't think of many mids who would compliment as well as Duggan. Plus we could call him 'Dancing Duggan' in homage to his old coach...

People talk about ayce as a rookie chance to make sure we have ruck depth. If he's as good as/better than ayce, then talking about fitzy is just as valid. A rookie doesn't really need to crack our defence or forward line
I'd prefer to talk about neither to be honest. Fitzpatrick is lacking the intensity required for AFL footy and he would have to be closely managed as he has type one diabetes. Ayce is just no good, in and around the ruck contests he's a liability.

I'd much rather hit the draft then put these guys on as rookies.

With Anderson and Duggan where do you all see them fitting in the pecking order of our midfield?
If either left for more opportunities why would they choose us. We had the same problem with Greenwood last season choosing the pies rather than us due to him not seeing a position in our midfield.

Greenwood probably skipped on us because of guys like Wallis, Bont, Boyd (before his move to defense), Dahl, Clay and Libba.

He's a pretty limited inside mid who wouldn't get a go ahead of any of the above, really.

Anderson and Duggan have the opportunity to be the icing, which we desperately lack (less so with Suckers signing on).

We rotate a lot, and we reward form. If he plays good 2nds footy he will get plenty of chances.

Can see a few reasons for Duggan coming here. He's talented enough to play anywhere on the field, he grew up in the area (I think his family is very close to Whitten Oval) and he was a dogs supporter growing up.

ok, so Sydney's got dibs on Callum Mills. For which they need simply enough points to meet the bids on him. If they downgraded their first pick for our second and Talia, would they really lose anything? Or would that lose them too many points to get Mills? Worth exploring

My point remains for every Puopolo and Barlow there's 10 Matthew Panos and Brodie Moles' and I think we're past bringing in depth players.
You can say the same thing about the Draft as a whole. Talent identification is all that matters, who gives a shit where they play.
