Koby is still only 24 yrs old, so he has plenty of improvement left. He is also one of the most sought after player types in AFL atm. Big bodied (189cm) contested mids are gold, especially come finals time.

Bont (192cm), Macrae (191cm), Koby (189cm) and Wallis (185cm) gives us by far the biggest midfield in the league. This is even more important without a dominant tap ruck to shark hit outs.

Goddard !!! God no.
Butchers the ball, Doesnt hold himself to the standards he expects from others, demands the ball in terrible postions, doesnt get on famously with alot of team mates/staff and above all else isnt that great. He had 2 amazing years and has bugger all since. No thank you BJ. Tell your storey walking.

Libba comes straight back in, no question's asked, Koby can leave - I see no value in him at all - and Clay first needs to prove that he can stay on the park.
Koby gives us the extra player to play on the inside. Libba and wallis ain't going to play a full game following the ball around, especially when the interchange has been capped to 90 now

I reckon we'd find it easier to convince Minson to go to Sydney than WCE convincing Sinclair to. My money is on WCE will be giving up next year's first rounder to Jetta.

Wow. I truly never knew there was this much love for Koby Stevens here.
There really wasn't up until this year though. I felt like I was one of very few who rated him. I just have always believed he had a bunch of terrific attributes but he never really put them together until his run of form this year. He's an extremely solidly built 187cm inside/outside midfielder which we definitely have a place for, even better that he can be genuinely dangerous forward and IMO could probably play a Boyd like role off half back in future. He's not super fast by any means but he's still quite quick and more importantly he gut runs harder than just about anyone in the team, neat disposal, brilliant in the air, as hard as they come and one one of our best tacklers whose ferocious at the man and ball, and he's a goal kicker. I love him.

You weren't alone on this pre this year. Have really liked him for a while. Brutal.

Wow here we go again. Can someone tag me back in when all the Hrovat stuff is dealt with? Feel a sense of continual déjà vu in this thread sometimes.
A lot of the time this thread is like a dog chasing its own tail then when something happens and it barks randomly before going back to chasing its tail.

Oh and occasionally fronkalicious holds a treat just out of reach causing it to go mad.

First rounder for Jetta What? Am I the only one who thinks that would be crazy? How many times does he need to disappear when the going gets tough?
After the grand final, surely the last thing the eagles need is another soft front runner who gives up mentally when tagged.

Oh well, glad it's not us being linked to him at that price

Syd are keen for picks for points this year.

Got to be an opportunity to package up Minson and Talia and a pick to get that first rd pick for next year from WC

Misinformed comment, Koby was fantastic this year particularly second half until injured. Does a lot of grunt work, clearing pathways etc. Very selfless player, walks straight into next years team. No problem.

Yeah there was definitely a few around here who really liked him but reckon the majority have always been harsh on him, he's been held to a different standard than our homegrown kids I reckon even though he'd barely had a chance to fire a shot in his few years at WC with injuries like OP holding him back. Not sure how you can't like a guy who plays the game the way he does though, shattered we haven't really had a chance to see a Clay and Koby combo do some serious damage :p

To be fair the pick itself is around pick 17 so it's not too ridiculous.

I can barely think of a player I'd less like to see in the Red White and Blue than Goddard. I detest him. He's a massive whinge and he's getting worse every year. I couldn't bear to see him at our club. I wouldn't be able to cheer him at all.

Dear Lord Jebus, I hope he signs for North Melbourne. They deserve each other.
