To be fair, if you had a guaranteed 200 game player from a pick 4 you'd probably be taking it without asking too many questions. That says that the player is at the least a consistent performer. In a sense, above the strike average for a pick 4.
The problem is that Ray is an anomalous 200 gamer. He was always cusp. Always nearing the edge. Never considered in the top 15 on a list. I honestly think he is the worst 200 game player to have played in the modern era (in that sense, kudos to him for making it, and in a side that competed in GFs). Given that context, you can say pick 4 was a stretch. But still, as pick 4s go, not a disaster (**** it could have been worse!).
