More than what Rance was being offered last season.

I can't read the article but I imagine clubs like Hawthorn, GWS, NM, would have both the interest and the cap to possibly get him. Maybe Freo if they don't land Hooker.

No doubt we would have inquired but 900k is too much. I was hoping it would be 650k a season.
Would love him but not on that contract especially after a year off.
Hopefully we're right in Hooker's ear.

He was mediocre as a forward at WAFL level or excellent as an intercepting defender. I'd prefer we play him to his strengths.
He's quick enough to allow us to play him on the mid-tall types which means we can play two other genuine talls and not sacrifice our speed - that could be important.
Zaine Cordy is quick for his height and can use the ball well, Hamling quick so we could partner Adams with 1-2 other talls and leave Collins in the last line as the dour hard as nails tall defender we've always seemed to love at WO
He could really take over from Morris, with his versatility. Better overhead too. (Yet to be seen if he'll be as dour and effective)

Good value at that. Complete weapon in his prime. I'm in.
You'd offer him 900k a season/probably a 5 year deal as well??

I love Hurley as much as anyone (and think hes the ideal fit) but thats too steep of a price.

On another note what are peoples thoughts on Cordy now we have Adams. Can we fit both in the same team or is it one or the other??

Interested to hear peoples thoughts on our long term setup.

It is, but i don't get the issue. If you're willing to pay mega money for a fwd who averages 2-3 goals a game, then surely a backman who saves 2-3 goals a game is equally as important on principle of scoring.
Just think with Collins, Roberts, Hamling, Cordy and Adams on our list currently I wouldn't want to be paying almost a million for an admittedly far better version.

You do know it's fairly normal to have multiple options for KPP's, you do
not have to trim the list back to two or anything.;)

Hurley's 2 years younger, and better imo. He'll play 2017 as a 26 year old. Perfect.

And no stress over the year off. I think that's all overblown a bit. The man knows how to play footy. He won't forget. And no doubt he'll keep himself in good nick.

No issue paying $900k to an all Australia CHB in his absolute prime with a rising cap. Play on.

No doubt. Purely asking the question whether they play in the same side in the future or is it preferred that we play 2 genuine KPD's. I'm not suggesting to delist/trade one just because they might play a similar role.

Early days they both might be busts. But I see more promise than I have for some time

Our KPD's are all wets in terms of games played, so i don't think we will have
an answer to your question until 2018 or 2019 just in time for the back to
back glory in 2020 and 2021 after wins over GWS and Brisbane.

I haven't really seen anything at all of Cordy. Do people see him as being a definite starter in say...2018, or a 50/50 at this stage?
I have some high hopes for Cordy and am hopefully confident. A pretty well phrased question though and at this early stage I'd have to still say 50/50. He seems mobile and very courageous but it is early days. Might need to stay injury free to develop also.

I haven't seen enough to know either way. Signs are positive though. Collins, Adams, Cordy and Hamling has me more positive about KPDs than in a long time.
Throw Roberts in there and Morris and reckon we can only play three of those six.

Cordys chance may depend on hamling as form - see them as similar players
