After watching last week a few things have shone out.
1.Roberts-Not up to it
2.Adams better than expected
3.Collins is a steal
4.Dunkley is a steal
5.Our depth is amazing
6.Jong is in our best 22

Now we must de-list 4 players at least of the senior list next year...?? Very hard to see who they will be.

My thoughts so far are..
1.Roberts
2.Prudden
3.Minson(Retire)
4.Boyd (Retire)??
5.Clay Smith (Rookie)
6.Hamilton

Not sure if it was mentioned in the HS article, but Hurley has met with Nathan Buckley already. So yes, he is clearly exploring his options.
We were mentioned as a suitor for Jobe Watson lolololol.

Think they were pulling rabbits out of their arse in that article.

Take it to the bank that he's met with Buckley. He's shopping for sure.

Can't think of a more perfect fit for our list.
Oh for sure, not denying that. That was the basis of the article.

I do however feel the 'suitors list' was developed to generate interest in the article for non-Collingwood supporters, and was the purest of bullshit.

Totally agree and I hope we are into him as well. For our needs and age profile, Hurley beats Hooker. And they both beat Heppell by a good margin IMO.

On delistees its pretty early in the season to be moving players players on! Hrovat, Hamilton, C Smith and Prudden might be on edge. Hope Boyd and Morris play forever but also don't want Murph, Moz and M Boyd retiring in the same year.

So do we see this as Boyd's final year then? With Morris and Murphy to go on for one more after this?
I think it will most likely be his last however another year like 2015 will put some pressure on the list managers? Moz will be an interesting one, we've got a few coming through that can play that 3rd tall but it remains to be seen if they'll get up to his standard by the end of this season.

He is a Cordy - His brother had broad shoulders too and didn't fill out to the levels we needed.
I dont see him getting any bigger than perhaps a Hamling type of frame.
Ayce filled out fine (he was over 100kg at one point). The problem was when he did he lost his athleticism, so we slimmed him down.

All that is immaterial though as Zaine is already a good size and has a much more natural build than his brother or Hamling for that matter.

The problem is that Murph, Moz and Boyd are probably 3 out of our best 5 players. Honestly their 2015 form waa brilliant and there is no reason that this year should be their last. Age is just a number. Out of the three I rate Boyd is our most important. Murph the silkiest and Moz the most reliable.

More a pleasant surprise than a problem.

The fact that these guys are performing so well means that the youngsters have to work their asses of to get a game & will be cherry ripe when it is time to step in.

Aside from his defensive ability, I think Hurley as a forward would compliment Boyd beautifully.

High motor leading forward who knows how to get the ball. Also delivers quite nicely. I think a lot of people have forgotten how good this guy is.

But he's a Dahlhaus/Stringer set shot. I prefer him in the back half, myself.

With all due respect I think you're wildly overrating him as a forward to be honest, there's a reason he was moved back and Carlisle/Hooker tried forward.
