Could still get him. Often times players will train with a few clubs before they get picked up. What his go though?
I don't know much about him, but it was rumored here a while ago that he was almost guaranteed a rookie spot with us.
I guess if anything the fact Richmond is sniffing around gives that rumor more credence.

They do like to sniff around our players. Jordan McMahon, Patrick Bowden, Terry Wallace...actually if the Tigers want him then maybe we should draw a red line through him :D

Big bodied wingman who has nice acceleration, decent skills, is good overhead, has impressive vision and is in our missing age bracket (~26 I believe). He won't be a star but I've often thought he could offer something at AFL level.

That said - the board seems to think we'll use pick 60 and get a rookie pick, despite us only having three list spots.

It says in today's article that Richmond are considering using pick 68 - wonder if we'll undercut them at 60.

Yeah, latest goss is we're about to pick up a FA, will be taking JK at 60 and bringing in two new Rookies. As an ex-AFL player can he be picked up as a DFA? Or has his numerous years out of the game eroded that status? (Just thinking about how Tom Lee needed to be picked up by GWS to get to St Kilda, so I suppose being an ex-AFL player counts for little. )

Wait, huh? That means we're taking three in the draft, one FA and two rookies when we only have three list spots. Have I misread?

No, he has to be taken in a draft unfortunately.

EDIT: Nevermind, I get the sarcasm now. :p

Jason McCartney also said highly unlikely. Can't see why we would be looking at him as he doesn't really fit our needs. Just recruited Crameri who will play the same role plus Stringer when he plays and to a lesser extent Jarrad Grant.

Are we firming on anyone in particular for pick 4? Everywhere I read it just seems we're waiting for the first 3 to go and then we will make up our mind. I am assuming Aish, Kelly or Billings.
Any chance of a curve ball? A Scharenberg for example.
Pick 4 has been linked to 19 of the top 20 players.....FWIW I still Scharenberg is the man we want but he may not be there when our turn comes........

Thats what i find surprising that there hasnt been much in the way of talk about specific players it just seems to be all. I thought Scharenberg had dropped off?

Batsanis highlights are now up on the AFL website.
Looks okay, very much an outside player. Really nice spearing kick.

I'm more interested in pairing up the Kolodjashnij brothers if we take Kade at 4 and Jake at 42/60 but I'd love to snatch Batsanis from under Richmond's noses just for the sake of sticking it up Richmond.
I'm not liking their attitude lately, although who can blame them after 7 seasons of hidings from us.

Interesting to read that Macca rates Tutt, hopefully he has a breakout year!
We've seen him do it before, his debut game. He has the ability! It's going to happen! He's going to become a top 20 player!

I may have got a bit carried away. I like Tutt :p

But everything he said is true. Tutt needs to believe in himself, he has the attributes to become a good player, but needs to add that confidence. I also keep forgetting he's only 22, I keep thinking he's 25 or so for some reason.
