In the past we have let players at affiliates slip through our fingers, eg Pods., Rampy and the like.
I wonder if we will look at Simon Deary from Willy for a rooky spot, or preferably get him over to the
Footscray squad and see if he develops as a forward. He is quite a decent mark and kick, but seems
to need a bit of time to develop.
Be interested to hear from folks who have seen a bit more of him than I have been able to this season,
as to their assessment.

If melbourne want a priority pick I want one too
Haha would be nice!

But my point was - who the heck do we go for if Boyd,Aish, Scharenberg and Kelly are all gone? I don't want Billings who can only play HFF.

Doubt it big time that they will get the extra pick anyway!

Jack Johnstone is the one that has caught my eye lately, still young and has some really good attributes
Maybe he's just Sitting, Waiting, Wishing for an opportunity.

He probably knows Macca likes Good People, so he's in with a shot. Maybe he'll be Better Together with the Dogs? I know his girlfriend Taylor is a fan.

Over the last 10 years melbourne and the dogs have had equal opportunity to draft and trade players. Melbourne have squandered their opportunities, I fail to see how they deserve a leg up more than us considering it's been almost 60 years since we won a premiership.

Choosing Christian Howard over Fyfe, Bastinac and Carlisle still wrankels me a touch.
Dalrymple wasn't, and you aren't, alone.

His early work wasn't flash, but if he adds two or three good players to his resume, it will be impressive and the club will be well-placed to lose prelims to GWS/GC for years to come.

No one has really caught my eye too much from Willy (who'd suit our needs). Anastasio is too small according to most on this wall. Wheeler is another inside player. Really if I was the dogs looking at players from the VFL I'd be looking at blokes like Kane Lambert and Sideshow Bob (Ben Brown) and the like just cause they are better players and are in the right age bracket. What goes around comes around and we'll end up making other supporters say the exact same thing as you.

Is there a problem with having two Pruddens on the list?
It was half a joke. Mostly just meant that he wouldn't be in my top five or so for who we take at our second rounder. I don't think he'll slip to our third pick but even then I'm not sure I'd take him unless he was clearly best available.

We should really look into Ben Brown if he playing good footy. The guy is bloody athletic for his size. I played basketball against him and always dreaded it because he would no doubt dunk on me at least twice in a game. And it isn't only his jump that was good; his sideways movement and first step were quick as well. Have never played against him in footy but if the kid can play, would be a great rookie selection at least with his potential.

Half time here.

Foster done very little so far with Calder going well.
Hartung is a gun. Stoked if he slips to our 2nd
As would I
Very exciting player to watch
Surprised how far players such as him and Lewis Taylor can slip
just because of their height
Hartung also is supposed to have a massive tank on him already
