Also that his missus and him have said he rather retire then go to dogs
Not sure that is correct. Was very keen to join the Dogs before he signed his last contract extension until the end of 2017.

He, GWS and Collingwood have agreed on a contract for 2017 and it only requires the lodging of the papers. Has purchased a house in Yarraville.

What about Sam Darley...

Add Jack Steele to StK, Will Hoskin-Elliott to Coll, Pat McKenna as
well as Marchbank to Carl, Cam McCarthy to Freo, and of course
Nick Haynes to the Dogs (I wish). Not to mention Lobb, Tomlinson
and Stewart, whoo that's a lot of moving.
The players that Collingwood are going after just make no sense for me...top to bottom.

It's like they think they are so close to winning a cup, and they want to get guys to push themselves over the top, but the reality is they came 12th.

Buckley's already said that if they don't make finals next year he's done. That's by no means binding but it shows he's going to throw everything at quick improvement, even if it does mortgage their long-term future.

I've made my feelings about Buckley known on here before. I'm not surprised that he would put his ego and his job before the future of his club. It'll end just like Brad Scott aswell. He doesn't have the list to win a premiership even with the rumored additions.

G'day guys, hearing from a very good source Stevens will absolutely be at either St. Kilda or Essendon in 2017, what's he worth? Is he out of contract? Also hearing plenty of whispers about your mob going after Goldstein, what do ya's reckon of that?

We've heard a lot about him going to Essendon, nothing about St Kilda. Hoping both are keen enough to drive up his price a touch. I'd hope for a 2017 2nd from you guys (with you backing yourselves to rise up the ladder) but I'm predicting we get Essendon's pick 37.

Stevens is a mid second rounder. Out of contract. Is hard as. Would be a good get.

Spot on, they're desperate to improve four places next season at all costs. It's the Richmond strategy.

How do people see Goldstein working?

I can't. Well not without some big moves.
BTC re-signed
Rough and Boyd going ok
Cloke the big fwd.
Have we given up on Jack yet. I was hoping his enthusiasm for us on 360 recently might also have got his fingers dialling his managers number.
And Goldstein is unnecessary for us.

Yeah, as good a player as he is, I hope we're not into him. He'd cost too much for what would just be an upgrade on what is working pretty well already. Both in salary and in trade.

if Goldstein in the ruck with Boyd and Rough as our forward targets ain't a better option than those two rucking with Cloke up forward i'm a brick's daughter's step-sister

we've nearly cost ourselves all finals with shitty goal kicking. I'm still absolutely flat we're picking up a guy who can't kick

Worth a high second rounder but out of contract and out of form they'll probably be able to get him for a mid 3rd.

Not on keen on Goldstein. Give up far too much to get him and Roughead/Boyd at very minimum are the medium term option for the dual ruck role IMO.

Boyd hasn't shown anywhere near enough as a KPF to be an absolute mainstay there. Yet!

I have a friend who's family are good friends with Koby. (this friends great grandfather may or may not be Charlie Sutton ;) ) so my source is very reliable. As far as I know he's tossing up between offers from the Saints and Bombers - he has an offer from Gold Coast, but doesn't want to move to Queensland.

9-13 is 9-13 however you want to spin it.

Whilst I don't think that record flatters Collingwood who have played decent footy at times this year, I'm gonna stand by my thoughts that adding an oft injured Wells, Chris Mayne, and a bust GWS mid forward doesn't take you from a middle of the road side to premiership contention.
