No guarantees Murphy will return to his best and could easily re-injury himself during the year. Decent replacement until Williams comes along IMO.

Wouldn't overpay though.

Dledio would be great as a Half Forward. Exactly what we need. Someone with amazing skills that actually knows how to deliver it to a forward. Give up this and next years 2nds

Deledio is the perfect type for us when Murphy, Moz and Moyd retire. We won't trade for him when he's a free agent next year and we have plenty of experience for 2016, however. Let's have this conversation again next year!

Update - Woah he's keen on us? I'm only keen if Moyd is retiring. And I don't want Moyd pushed out.

Ffffffff.

Spends entire life arguing Griffen >>> Delidio. May need to backtrack.

Also, destination club, cough cough.
That's exactly what first occurred to me...I'm gonna have to do some serious reversing here. Thank God Griffen has gone.

If we get Deledio we would have to retire M Boyd.
The numbers don't add up
Yes they do. We would have four blokes in our best team over 30, a shitload under 23, and a couple like Picko and Roughead in the mid/late 20's. They add up extremely well.

Lids to lead scary to back to back vfl flags
I hope you are kidding there Vital. Deledio is a seriously, seriously good player. Breaks the lines with his accurate and penetrating kicking. He would be massive coming off the last or second last line in our defense. Tom Boyd has got wood just reading about this possibility.

There's nothing more I hate than people who hate a player and say he's crap when he leaves their team, I've copped a lot of flack from my mates for saying how crap Griffen is now. It was just pure coincidence he turned to shit when he left!

I think from 2005-2013 Griffen was clearly better, from then it has done a 180. Griff's 2013 season was the best year either has had by a long way.

Hardly big names
Gunston was a star, won Adelaide's best youngster award before walking out. McEvoy in StK best 10, Hale in Nth best 10.
You have overlooked Josh Gibson, so not sure they are comparable to us at all. Apart from the drafts in early days when they got it right a lot their current building has been useless through the draft. Hartung, Sicily, Duryea, are ok but where is the outstanding young talent? Mid tier of Smith, Breust, Stratton, Poppy are ok. They have drafted a lot of chaff in my opinion lately.
