Bev very interested in Lids apparently.

Who'd have thunk it?
I don't understand why Bev would anything but very interested. The addition of elite kicking skills will really help us if we are to gap other teams in contention. We absolutely butcher the ball by foot far too often. Deledio would be a massive upgrade in kicking skills on all our defenders and wings except Murphy.

youve just won a flag and still have a rather young team, giving up your first rounder won't hurt you.
Dude we have no sway in the decision making. All of this is conjecture so dont take it personally.

Lets see what Jason McCartney thinks.

I agree - many here don't apparently.

Would you be prepared for a future first instead plus a fringe type?

Who knows how we go next year, so potentially you could get much better pick than 18 (might be 20-21 after academy bids) if we slide down a little
I think it is a lot riskier/stupid for us to trade our first rounders considering Richmonds position.

we are talking about this years pick, not future first rounders...

Who was it that said we were looking very closely at a Richmond hbf a month or so ago?

Even if it wasn't Deledio at the time, he should pipe up and claim that it was. I certainly would.

nah its because we traded the last 2 years firsts away. New rules mean if we do it again this year then we must go to the draft with our first round picks for the next two years, which could be pretty restrictive if a good opportunity came up. That's why we'd be reluctant

Yes, but what I'm saying is, our future first rounder could be a way better pick for you to use next year because we don't know where we will finish

Our first could be 20-21 this year, our first next year could be 10-15 etc

I still think Pick 18 and 39 for Deledio and 26 is fair.

OR

Pick 18, Hrovat and Pick 39 for Deledio and 26.

In a good draft yes you are probably right. If we manage to get something decent for Hamling and Hrovat I would be happy to give up pick 18.
Hrovat was interesting. His manager nominated two clubs - Norf and Carlton.

Perhaps that's Nathan helping us out after he knocked back GWS (and their two 2nd rd picks last yr)

It's highly unusual for a player to not nominate one club.

Should help us get a decent pick you'd hope.

Fortunately your and my opinions on the trade value of Deledio mean zero in the real world. If Deledio does end up at Whitten Oval pick 18 may not be involved - there are many, many ways that such a deal might get done.

This is also why I suggested a future first NaturalDisaster

Our draft currency could be better next year also, it makes sense on two fronts here. We know you guys would want to get back into the first round this year after trading away your future on Prestia but would pick 20-21 represent value this year?
