Not howled down by me bro. I'm in.[/
Don't think that's why we haven't signed Boyd. He likes to sign in September. Massive upset if he retires, massive tears if they delist him
Can't see us delisting Moyd he has been really good this year hence making the AA squad. The dogs have always done the righty by their legends.

Wells is one of the best kicks inside 50 in the comp. I love Hunter and Macrae more than most but Wells kicking inside 50 instead of them makes our forward line look so much more dangerous than it is now.

I think the positives outweigh the negatives. Injuries being the main negative. Him and Boom would play different roles.
And IIRC Boomer is the best inside 50 kicker in the comp. Wells plays further up the ground no doubt a good kick too - but durability a big issue.

To me I don't think Boyd is ready to be the main key forward. Let's face it, right now in the past 6 weeks he's probably been more involved as a ruck than as a forward.

He's probably 2 - 3 years away from that role. It's perfect for someone like Cloke to play that role. And being the major forward doesn't mean you kick the most goals or takes the most marks, but rather someone who plays the central role in how a forward line functions.

No fit player currently at the dogs can play that role. But we might be able to find a short term solution, whilst we develop one.

Talking Footy speculating Boyd may go. Disappointing if correct.

Stevo/Staphy been trawling here and mentioned Stevens being looked at by EFC.

There's lots I like about Matty Boyd but if we could find someone with more speed and more damaging kick I'd be happy. Easier said than done though . Hard to find someone with Matty's composure , sense and positioning.

All good things come to an end and another season may not be kind to him.

Mark Stevens also said he couldn't possibly see O'meara leaving literally the day before Gold Coast released that he had asked for a trade.

I mentioned that on here a few months ago and got shouted down. Apparently Jmac not a fan. Hope he stays
This would be sheer lunacy If true. Boomer-level lunacy. Moyd has held our backline together this year while others have gone down like flies. Selfless, courageous, composed. You can't tell me that he's keeping anyone out who's remotely close to stepping up to his level.

I would take Vlaustin. But not a chance I'd force Boyd to retire, he would be top 3 in our b&f and is still in our top 3 most important players
Playing vlaustin as a half back would be a waste. He's a midfielder that the Tigers are playing out of position.
