I will be seriously be pissed off if we move on Boyd. He is still elite in his position.

I don't think we have to be scared of losing Moz, Bob and Boyd at the same time. We have kids coming out of our arse to cover them. Plus Suckers, JJ and Biggs.

I still back the club to keep him.

Interesting. Means we may only lose one senior each year. Phasing them out earlier than probably needed/expected.
Yeah. The person who told me heard it directly from Boyd just after Bob re-signed. Mentioned him and Jmac don't get along.

But I'm hoping it was more Boyd being concerned, Bevo did say a few weeks ago that his contract would take care of itself

What are the chances of Essendon taking Koby in the PSD as payback for Crameri and having a crack at Hurley?? Nervous about that.
Yep. Big chance. Brisbane same. Depends if they want preserve it for someone better like JOM. Certainly reduces his value regardless.

Leaving so many players with value uncontracted exposes us IMO.

Surely JMac puts business ahead of his own personal feelings though.

Isn't Dodo and the Dopers going to threaten every club with the PSD with out of contract players? That's his scumbag modus operandi. Just tries to be
the big tough guy at trade time when everyone knows he is just a campaigner of a bloke.
If Dodo goes down this track. Then they won't be able to get deals done in upcoming years. Clubs have long memories of shit blokes. They would be better off just giving fair deals for players off contract.

Put the shoe on the other foot when it comes to the PSD. Its a mechanism that we'd use without hesitation in the same position.

Not re-contracting Moyd would be one of the more befuddling decisions that the club has made should they make it.

Agree - if you play the PSD card it had better be for a dead set gun, because nobody will ever forgive you for it. Unwritten rule is you only do it if the other club concerned won't be reasonable at the trade table. You don't do it just because you can.

if Moyd isn't offered a contract and wants to play on, another club will make an offer. He's had a brilliant season. Not sure the last time a player made the All Australian Squad and was then cast aside in the same year...

I wouldn't blame Essendon if they tried to get Koby for free, but I'd certainly blame Koby if he let them.
yeah i think koby should do the right thing and tell essendon or whichever club he goes to, to give us fair compensation or he will not go there

Guys relax Moyd is going no where.

They will be doing another 7 in 7 days at the end of the year I'm tipping Moyd will be part of that
Your the voice of reason on here MD.
We can all now relax - just put the Bex back in the draw. :thumbsu:
