Adams isn't going to be as valuable as what he is now so we have to sell him now. Doesn't mean I'm furious or that I'm confident that we are going to get what he is worth.
I cannot think of a suitable player/s we could acquire in return as they have to be decent as well as a kid. Sam Collins and Alex Pearce are all that I'd want really. I want to re sign hamling but I can't agree to the price freo have offered.
This trade period was meant to compliment our list, not save or re fill it.

If jmac is any good he will have something ready to pull from his ass, and I believe that he will. Go dogs!

Plus we have a little thing called the premiership cup to defend. We're a better chance of doing that with Adams than without.

Yeah if he's set on getting home may as well play it out now if we get a strong offer. Freo's first next year wouldn't be a bad outcome. Would also mean we could trade out this years first if we wanted as we'd have two next year so wouldn't restrict us.

We were rock bottom when Griff left it was bad but it didn't really hurt us.

As of today IF Hamling and Adams leave our list is worse than it was when we started trade period.

As I've now said 4 times I hope next week brings changes but as of today we have had an awful week and I'm really disappointed we haven't been more proactive

Hamling, Adams and pick 18 surely gets us Freo's pick 7?

Pick 7 and a later pick, or someone like Honeychurch, or both, potentially shakes free a player of the calibre of Alex Rance?

The above example is not thought through completely, and the relative values of players and picks are off the top of my head after 30 seconds contemplation...but I'd bet my left one that we are working on something like that.

Gut feeling or inside word? I feel we'll do everything we can to do a deal for Marcus, we are professional and calculating but we are not the assholes other clubs are. We'll try and make it work for him - it'll take Freo or WCE stepping up to the plate though.

I dont think a bidding war will eventuate for Adams next year. Freo would be the likely destination as Eagles already have McGovern and Barrass as very good intercept marking keys in the back line.
