IF Lever is available he should be our #1 target, he's almost the perfect defender for Bev's system. He's a gun.

I think he's a vanilla type, fast but nothing else stands out.

To be honest I'd only take a look at Austin as he could fill a need, but like I've said before I'd love us to go for Allir
Yeah Allir is an excitement machine IMO. Bit of a headless chook with the ball but a great mark and athlete. Not unlike Wood early days.

Is he a headless chook with the ball though? I've found that he seems fairly composed with it (small sample size - but when the pressure was on throughout finals last year).

He seems to choose poor options or execute poorly by foot despite displaying reasonable evasion and maybe looking composed IMO.

And I think Syd have mentioned that this issue is why he is not playing.

Nonetheless I'd take him. Could be nearly as good as Lever for a lot less.

The club needs to make a statement this trade period.

If JJ leaves i want 2 guns
If he stays 1

If we don't get anyone then we are showing no ambition and we have no pulling power dispite winning a premiership

Heatherley, McKenzie, Durdin, Austin and Hickey. Something not right about Aliir. He's a gun and should be playing. Seems odd.
McKenzie is a player that 100% needs a change of scenery. If he was dirt-cheap (and I assume he would be a bargain basement pick based on recent history) I wouldn't turn him down.

Would he get delisted? Clearly out of favour. I like his 1 wood but do we need 2 Suckling's?

I completely forgot about him so just did a bit of research. Worrying signs with soft tissue injuries with a quad, groin and a hamstring in the past 12 months. It's not so much that he's out of favour, he hasn't been able to string more than 3 games together at any level since mid 2015.

Chuck Stringer in there

Clearance buster mids are rare, not every team has one. We won a flag without one, Hawthorn won 4 flags without one etc. Sydney's midfield gets lauded as one of the best in the comp yet none of them have that break away speed.

Fixing up out taller deficiencies and hiring some new coaching and fitness staff imo would give us better direction.
The sooner we develop Stringer into a mid the better. He could be a Dustin Martin level mid but better because he has more pace and can kick goals on the run from 60 out with ease.
