what have I missed I thought our 2nd round was 37 ie 18 sides we get 2nd round choice at 36 plus bump 1 for the Lions priority choice = 37 but we traded pick 40 out ??
FA comp is what you've missed. Wells, Mayne and Vickery.

It probably needs to go...

Yes. We only have 3 spots on the list as it sits now. Unless we can package some later picks to move up the list, which I think would be smart. I'm sure something should be able to be done with Gold Coast.
This makes me happy
Package up picks to land two second rounders

If someone had come to and said that we had two Perth based defenders and they both want to go home, I'd have driven Joel to the airport and triple locked Marcus's front door. Not the worst result.
I'd rather Joel on a three year deal than Adams with one to go and the desire to leave

We are going to lose Marcus next year anyway.

Anybody hold out any slither of hope we retain him. I mean we just one a premiership (which unfortunately he couldn't be a part of), it's not as if Marcus is getting a better financial offer (he'd be on 2nd year wages next year anyway). Yet he still wants a trade.

Obviously for family reasons. We aren't going to change his mind in 12 month irrespective of what happens till then.

I assume the result of trade week is to have a better list at the end of it than you started with ??

Really piss poor effort IMO. Not proactive enough. Yes i know many disagree but I'm entitled to think this and do

F- so far

Yeah I don't rate Joel anywhere near Marcus. Joel is easily replaceable. Marcus not so much.
Marcus is better but Joel's good, I'll take the good guy that wants to stay. But I digress, that's not the case anyway so I'll have to make do with a guy we both clearly rate and hope we keep him

You assume?

Rather win the flag than win trade week.

Not many options, the later pick down grade shouldnt have gone down though.
I'd take Hamling for pick 35 any day of the week. But at least its not nothing

Frustrating to lose a very handy KPD and premiership FB, however nobody can begrudge him for taking a much longer and better contract than what we were offering. He has to look out for his long term future. Just wish we improved our offer once Adams flagged that he wanted to leave now or in a year. That worries me.

Getting Lids in would ease my stress considerably! Disappointing we havent completed the Cloke deal yet but I presume Collingwood are holding that one up, as they have no idea when it comes to list management
