Strategy Trade and List Management thread 4 (Be sure to huddle around your transitor radio at 11 am Edition)

Is the Stringer situation beyond repair?

  • The club clearly want him out the door.

  • This was just a shot across Jakes bow as a means of motivating him.

  • The club is clearly a rabble. Sack Macca!

  • This is just the first play in massive trade that we are not yet privy to.

  • This is a game of blink and Jake and Conners just blinked.

  • Its time to move on a negotiate the best deal we can.

  • I felt sad for Jake on that stage today.

  • We've warned you about creating polls Norm!

  • The Jack 'Armageddon option' Watts option

Sorry but you are talking utter bullshit

The exit interviews were finished by last Friday for senior players not playing VFL so that their holidays started as early as possible. I believe Jakes was one of the earliest of the whole group as he is booked in for surgery in the next couple of weeks.

Dale Morris even confirmed this on SEN yesterday.
This is one time i'm hoping you would say FACT MD! :p

Bumped into Mrs Bont, asked her about her son's exit interview, she told me he wants out, asked for a trade, will go anywhere except Hawthorn, doesn't like the colours.
So Stringer and Bont out, oh well, it was good while it lasted.
makes it worse that we missed out on Billings now

The FACT is that if Jake was told that im fairly sure one of the first people he would tell wouldn't be a family friend

The FACT is if the dogs were interested in trading him they wouldn't approach Jake until they actually had a trade that is suitable. Telling him beforehand takes all the bargaining power they have away and basically hands it to the player.

The FACT is if the club traded Jake now they wouldn't get his real value AFTER an average year

The FACT is that this is all absolutely cr@p

Weren't you sick to death of discussing the possibility of Stringer being traded? Seems you've changed your tune from 2 days ago.
Nope, I'm still sick of it and based on the likes I got, plenty of others are too. Making one post about it is not really breaking from that either. But thanks for your concern, I'm fine though.

Going over our re-signings. Bloody hell Macca has handed out some generous multi year contracts to some of our plodders. Why multi year deals for Redpath and Roberts? They need to be kept on the edge. I really hope we have a plan come trade time. Re-signing these blokes and a FA like Trengrove isn't going to win us a flag.
