Strategy Trade and List Management thread 4 (Be sure to huddle around your transitor radio at 11 am Edition)

Is the Stringer situation beyond repair?

  • The club clearly want him out the door.

  • This was just a shot across Jakes bow as a means of motivating him.

  • The club is clearly a rabble. Sack Macca!

  • This is just the first play in massive trade that we are not yet privy to.

  • This is a game of blink and Jake and Conners just blinked.

  • Its time to move on a negotiate the best deal we can.

  • I felt sad for Jake on that stage today.

  • We've warned you about creating polls Norm!

  • The Jack 'Armageddon option' Watts option

2018 membership already microwaved. I am absolutely filthy. You don't trade players of stringer's capabilities out of your team. All we have got to look forward to is getting pick 20 for him from a smarmy st Kilda manager.
Whose to say the club views Jake's attitude as irreparable? We know there were concerns on Jake since before he was drafted.

We don't know.

Zero confidence that JMac could get a good deal for him....going on his form a late first rounder...

If the damage is irreparable then we should seek a trade now. Waiting till he is uncontracted and a another year of average form is a recipe for an even worse deal.

Very disappointing.

You are a liar

Jake did not have a meeting today and Damo just confirmed it saying he has been upset for days.

Bev and MCcartney did very exit interview together with the line coach involved for that player.
Why are you attacking me?
I simply asked originally if anyone has heard anything re stringers meeting. When another person confirmed that they had, I asked a friend of mine who is close to jake, what he had heard. His version is what I have relayed.
Fyi he has been with the family tonight. Who are just as shattered as most on here.

Doubt anything happens.
It's absolute crap. Jake has had a **** year, he's unhappy, the club's unhappy, who would've thought?

He's contracted for next year and if he wants to go we push harder than we ever have before and screw over whoever wants him.

He didn't have a great 2016 and he got a flag. I reckon the club's been pretty good to him, so you hope he has a good long think before he does something stupid.

Our CEO who said he wasn't in it for the long term decides his time is up. Hold the front page.

McCartney and Dalrymple don't always see eye to eye. Well, stone me. Wouldn't be the first workplace where two leaders don't get on.

Any other muck Barrett? Surprised you didn't weave Tommy Boyd into your little wrap tonight you ambulance chasing worm.

From the get go

it could all be coming from jake wishing to leave not the club asking him to consider to go
It wasn't just Stringer. It was literally the entire platter of dirt that shitstain was allowed to serve up on us in one 2 minute segment. And all of it could be feasibly true. One year after a premiership.

That doesn't annoy the shit out of you? It took about 3 months of an offseason then 20 odd games for any sort of winning attitude and culture in our football club to erode into this shitheap we're now discussing tonight.

So are you accepting Jakes upset?
Jakes upset with the world at the moment.

His family is gone
He is constantly injured
He failed this year
The club failed this year

So yeah he probably is upset but I know for a fact he wasn't in a meeting today and if trade was brought up during the meeting LAST WEEK Jake would have mentioned it.

Likely the saints and Norf sniffing in the background with big money because they failed with everyone else.

I think it's hilarious that last week someone said trade him and NOW he is unhappy and wants to leave!!

Jake will leave for one reason and one reason only MONEY.

I'm really concerned with us losing two CEOs in short succession. What the hell is going on at our club? I, along with others have poured a lot of money into this club over the years and we deserve to get answers.

Wouldnt be hugely concerned. Kent didn't want to stay too long in that role. He was just taking over until someone else got the role. Surprised he's been there this long. The only weird exit was Stevenson, because him and PG didn't get on as well as they should.
