Strategy Trade and List Management thread 4 (Be sure to huddle around your transitor radio at 11 am Edition)

Is the Stringer situation beyond repair?

  • The club clearly want him out the door.

  • This was just a shot across Jakes bow as a means of motivating him.

  • The club is clearly a rabble. Sack Macca!

  • This is just the first play in massive trade that we are not yet privy to.

  • This is a game of blink and Jake and Conners just blinked.

  • Its time to move on a negotiate the best deal we can.

  • I felt sad for Jake on that stage today.

  • We've warned you about creating polls Norm!

  • The Jack 'Armageddon option' Watts option

Interesting times ahead that is for sure.

I've said it all along that Stringer is the player I'd prefer over someone like Martin. If you look at their career paths they share a lot of similarities. If Stringer can improve his tank he could be as good as Martin if not better.

Stinger for Goldstein would probably work out well for both clubs in my opinion. Good luck for the rest of the year.
Goldstein....
This off season will be the death of me.
Can we add a rule in this thread that posters get a ban if they make me pull out parts of what remains of my hair?

I still like your idea on the North board...what was it?

Ah that's right we give up Stringer and our first two picks for Goldy and Tarrant.

You my man are very funny. Post more.

Check Dayne Beams' record - similar to Stringer and see what he got. Then come back.

And apologise:)

I assume North could cover all of Goldsteins contract for you. That way you could restructure bonts so that it's less to pay in the future.

Maybe 21 with Goldstein and North get 26.

2)strange
3)weird
4)crazy
5)insane
6) completely delusional.

Christ. I told myself to be patient and expect this crap to come our way. But I just can't help myself. This is some seriously baffling stuff. What world do these posters live in?

We'd want your 2018 first and then some. What would you be willing to add to it? Would like a sense of what you guys would be ok to give up.
I expect we would offer a 2018 1st and 2017 2nd at a minimum. If its picks better than that you want we will find them ourselves or via a 3rd club for you.

Players are more difficult as we have a limited number who may want to leave.

Danger Joel Hawkins Duncan and Taylor are untouchable.
Tuohy Henderson Smith Scott Selwood and Stewart just got here and wont want to go.
Guthrie and Blicavs have been joined at the hip since primary school.
Menegola Cockatoo Parfitt Parsons have all re-signed in last few weeks and Bews is about to.
If you exclude the 0 gamers with no trade value i can really only see the following: (other than menzel and motlop who are free agents) Stanley Murdoch Thurlow Horlin Smith Lang and Ruggles as likely to be available and enticeable by offers from other clubs.
But stranger things have happened with player movement.

More of Damo's work

If Jake Stringer is the only Bulldog seeking a new home ... then
... we'd be very surprised. As we said here last week, not a happy camp. Carnage everywhere, on and off the playing list.
Sleep with the lights on Barrett. You're a f****** flog.

I love how he throws in 'we'd' to give himself an out if it turns out to be garbage.

Carnage? Finishing 11th after a flag. Who would have thought changes would occur? Outrageous.

So, basically you're not prepared to deal.

Cool. See ya.

I am starting to think we are grossly undervaluing Stringer in just asking for a Top 5 pick.

A similar record player in Beams fetched far more. Pies got P5,25 and Crisp. And Beams wasn't going anywhere but Brisbane.

That is the bar for me.

I hope JMac has taken note. Zero confidence in him though.

I never posted that. Sounds like a good deal.

Once again you cover a need (a ruck and a big defender). Tarrant has been a close second to Rance over the last two years. Wood plays loose,Morris takes the third tall, Adams the other KPF.

North try and repair Stringers hamstrings and getting him back on track. Plus a decent pick in a poor draft.

The last thing you want is an unhappy player causing unrest in the locker room.

Go dogs! Woof!

Ok. Blicsavs and both Guthries. And your first rd in 2018. I'd think about that.
