We should be saying to Essendon your offers not good enough and just keep stringer. It makes zero sense for the club to accept 25 and 30 when we will only have 3-4 list spots and are apparently upgrading smith.

Having 9 25 28 and 30 in a weak draft and where 30 would most likely be used to upgrade smith just doesn't make sense

Hmmmmm sounds like Gibbs deal going down now. Blues certainly have picks for us but doubt SOS takes on garbage and Bolton from Clarkson's tribe like Bevo, pretty sure a no DH policy would be in place (they got rid of Menzel fast to the Crows)

If Stringer really is gone, the best we can hope for is taking Carlton's 16 for 25 and 30 so they can pass that on for Kennedy. It's certainly a less than ideal situation but one we might have to accept.

Forget 25+30, it'll be 25 + the GWS future 2nd now - we have literally no use for 30.

Still think they should add a future third and we throw them one of our future 4ths.

Or we drag it to the line and demand a future first.

Here’s a thought, how about we keep pick 9. What is all this talk about giving up 9, 25 and 30 AND Stringer for West Coast’s pick 13? Am I missing something here, or is the place completely falling apart?
The idea was to get their 2018 1st as well. Looks like it's fallen through though.

When you haven't won a flag for so so long and Boyd comes along and plays a final series like he did and also plays a GF like he did and is still 21 years old I say we will still see better things from our investment. Many would argue that the investment had already paid off.
Don’t worry about Boydy, he’ll be fine once we get the dickheads out the team that have been bullying him!

No Carlton need 25 and 30 for Lang and Kennedy .

Ess get stringer

Carlton get 25 30

If Gibbs deal goes down they will trade 16 to us, Stringer to Bombers and 25 and 30 to Carlton and use 25 on Kennedy and 30 on Lang with maybe some pick swaps somewhere

The other thing is we should be leaving it to Essendon to find the picks to get stringer not running around trying to get the picks ourselves either they come up with a deal that's reasonable or we keep him. Why are we doing all the work to make the deal happen
I’ve asked this before, but no one answered, why don’t Essendon throw a player(s) into the deal? Is Dodoro that moronic?

I think that was a miscommunication we weren’t giving up 9. We were getting 13 to add to our 9 but were losing all our second rounders.
That was my understanding

I think we go to Jakey and say
Sorry buddy, tried to find you a new home, but basically no teams were interested in you,
because you are a dip shit!
Either knuckle down and lets make this work
or bugger off back to Bendigo and work at Bunnings or something

Exactly. Did Gold Coast run around last year trying to find their own deal? No, they made Hawthorn do it.

Essendon should now pay up big time or just go away.

They have sat like proud roosters with their disrespectful pick 25 and 30 and got us to do all the running around trying to get ourselves a better deal.

Time to tell Dodo and Bumbers Keep 25 and 30 and stick them up your a**.
