This is my first off-season as a Big Footy reader. I don’t think I can handle it. If Hunter or Libba left I’d be a mess. It’s rough enough that Dahl and Wallis look like goners.

On a scale of 1-10, how much stock is to be put in Big Footy rumours?

And is ScragCity Chief Wind-Up?

Most stuff posted is completely made up or false information or ends up changing by crunch time.

The main problem is some will go from 0 to 100 way too quickly when a rumour is posted on here. The "Typical Bulldogs" impending sense of doom is alive and well.

Someone will post something as vague as "Hunters dad isn't happy with the club", then three posts later people will be going off the deep end with comments like "Oh we're screwed, Sam Power's a bell end, f**k this club, why always us".

Adams is a top quality backman, for 5 games a year. 5 game a year players are not worth much. Still it frees up some salary cap and allows us to have an extra player for 17 rounds of the year..

He's only 5 games a year because we can't get him healthy.

Watch him go to another club and string games together.

Yep it's the Bulldogs supporter's natural state to have a constant impending sense of doom, exacerbated by the media claiming that we're in crisis every single offseason, and played out in excruciating detail on here.

A Bulldogs player will never just leave for better money or a longer deal. They will only leave due to a huge falling out, which extends to half the playing list, or the club being in total crisis. The sky is always falling!

Thought potential high end draftees weren't allowed to train at clubs before the draft, isn't rehab at a club a form of training? Only traineeship types can in regards to their high performance programs with special allowances, or mature agers before a rookie draft.

Yes, he's been doing it since just after he did his knee. AFL granted him special consideration and the Saints were keen - started doing it in late June:

We have our base set with elite young talent. Dal, wallis, Roughead and Adams don’t concern me at all.

Just on Libba he is a FA so his value will be judged on size of contract, his age 26, draft spot ? 40 in 2010, but GC first draft. Plus individual and team awards so that's 1 B&F and 1 Runner up as well as the 2016 premiership. Injury doesn't come into it, the thought that his value is down would only count if he wasn't a FA and had to be traded. Now the only value drop for Libba due to injury will be the size of contract.
