Hall will look a good recruit to the naked eye as he will gather a lot of possessions. What won't be as easy to see is how much his opponent impacts the game due to his terrible defensive pressure. He will look good but won't help North win games, there's a really good reason the Sun's are happy to let him go for basically nothing.

Hall is such a tantalising prospect because he his best is very good.

He can’t be an absolute spud when he’s been given 3 Brownlow votes for 3 weeks in a row (see 2016 season first 3 games).

Obviously though he does have his defensive issues and some other concerns that scared clubs off.

Interesting that we didn’t go after him when we were looking for cheap mature players and it was rumoured that players with pace would be highly prioritised.

Shouldn’t really compare it the Lloyd deal. I’m still reasonably happy with that.

Keeping Campbell is a smart decision, we know what we get with him and if English gets hurt
He can play straight away
The club loves him and he loves the club

Posted it ages ago but on Geand Final 2016, his parents said he will retire a Bulldog

It's from this

It does sound like Campbell stays. He never said that Trengove will play more as a key defender or that Boyd will play more as a key forward though.
I get enough shit from commentors about Boyd and trengove being a ruckman

Gotta give them what they want

Lloyd couldn’t get a game at Richmond.
Hall could get a game for GCS.
Your post is factually incorrect. Do some research next time.
I could get a game for GC, Lloyd was regular 1st emergency for a Premiership side for over two years
Not saying definitively one is better than the other but comparing picks over 60plus doesn’t make a lot of logic especially in the case of GC who are in a rebuild.

How do people here rate the trade radio segments? Like in order from best to worse? Choosing from the following:

Kane Cornes & Matthew Lloyd
Sam McClure & Nick Dal Santo
Tristan Foenander, Jimmy Bartel & Callum Twomey
Damien Barratt & Terry Wallace
Jack Heverin & Matt Thompson
Sam McClure & Brent Harvey
I don't mind Matthew Lloyd, Nick Dal Santo, Callum Twomey, Terry Wallace or Jack Heverin. But the rest are sub-standard and I don't care for any of them or their opinions.

I may be in the minority here, but I genearlly like what Dal Santo brings on radio. If he was paired with Terry Wallace, that would easily become the best trade radio slot.

Baffles me that Campbell doesn't get much game time. He's one of the few players we have that doesn't just get monstered in the ruck each time he plays, and I feel like he offers enough around the ground to justify his spot. Would rather see Boyd play a full season in the forward line and not touch the ruck, play Trengove in defense on the big talls and Campbell/English rotate through the ruck. No reason we can't play that many talls when Eagles just won a premiership with Kennedy, Darling, Schofield, McGovern, Lycett, Vardy and Barrass in the same team.

Playing Trengove, Schache, Boyd, English, Campbell and Cordy as our main talls isn't a bad thing, especially when most of these guys still have a ton of room to improve

You think Aaron Hall wasn't getting a game at GC????

And I don't think anyone is complaining about using 68, they're arguing that he's worth more than 68 as we used 64 on Sam Lloyd, who most would see as an inferior player....
Salary dump. Anyone that follows the NBA will kbow the AFL is way behind in understanding the importance of salary cap vs picks. Would you prefer Lloyd on $300k (estimate) for pick 64 or Hall on $600k (estimate) at pick 68.

Its also why I think the Beams deal may not go through. Apparently his deal was heavily front ended, pies would be paying beams unders.

FRINGE Geelong midfielder George Horlin-Smith has joined Gold Coast.

The Suns gave up pick No.59 in this year's NAB AFL Draft for him.

Decent pick up for Gold Coast, dont mind Horlin-Smith
