exactly, we should just barge in and make GCS an offer they can't refuse like the Hawks did to us... but no, we will sit in the corner and wait for Brisbane, Freo and Melbourne to have their bitch fight... *sigh*
Perhaps we've assessed the top 7 as being better than May (or done our analysis on price vs payoff?)

I only mention this given Power's interesting comments in the past 24 hours that Trengove is likely to play down back a little more this year. That means a KPD is a very low priority however it leaves our ruck division very thin if true - Boyd who carried injury all last year, English who will need support and rest weeks given his age, and if we keep him Campbell who Bevo wouldn't play at all in 2018.

I also read Powers comments reg Trengove playing down back that Adams is out and a deal has been done.

A happy Adams and injury free would mean Trengove could assist in the ruck as now that area of the ground is starting to look thin.

We do need a player down back to take the bigger forwards.

haven't been listening to much, thought it was better for my sanity to get yard work done last couple days and check in occasionally to see if some happened hehe. But what you have said makes me very nervous for next year...

Definitely ephemeral, as in lasting a short time, Mr GDB. We are all in this place for a short time... relatively.
Anyway, how about that trade period, hey? Looks like Broomhead and Dunn are off the market!
You are either Glen the immortal or here for a short time... which is it, Hypocrite! :shoutyoldman:

Mitch Clearly fails to mention us with interest in May (pies are), and says the suns see it as dees only.

We havent tried
Because its quite clear that he will be at Melbourne the minute pick 5 drops.

His pronouncement that he was happy to go to any Melbourne club was just a tactical move to get the inevitable to happen.

Perhaps Power has accepted he can’t get anyone we want and that leaves him what we have and can draft.

If May is available and we aren’t even trying just shut the doors seriously. We get any younger Bev will need to get a working with children permit.

Norf actually landed a four players so we ain’t Norf lol

The Norf bashing in here is hilarious when they are smashing us at present.
4 walk up starts into their best 22
Maybe it's time for a bit of Bulldog bashing!

Are you up for it, MD?

Apart from Polec which other player will make our 22? And Polec they overpaid to get.
I didn’t say our 22 I said theirs

Polec Hall Pittard Tyson all into their best 22. And they would ALL be in our best 22.

Over paid or not they are making things happen so at least they are trying right or wrong.

For the sake of argument - our last first round picks are Richards, Naughton, English, Bont, Macrae & Stringer.

It's a big call to suggest a 27 year old May, as good as he is, is worth that kind of player + extra especially when I see our real problem as goal kicking power and class around the ball. If we were talking about a mature mid or mid/forward with that pick I'd reassess, or if we could somehow keep pick 7 by trading a future first + change that would be ideal but unlikely when Melbourne quite possibly will have pick 5 on the table this time tomorrow.

We're not a super attractive destination right now either so have to pay serious overs for any genuine A grader.

We have to pay someone and May just wants out of the Suns he is gettable for cheaper than normal I would expect.

Adding someone like that with our age profile cannot be seen as a negative unless as you say he wants too much
