There are many decisions and non decisions that have been poor IMO. Things I'd have done:

1 - Retained Dalrymple and put in charge of recruiting and list management

2 - Recruited an experienced footy manager to replace Lowe.ie not Grant. Same goes for the CEO. Same goes for Power. Why are we recruiting blokes on their training wheels for our senior footy roles? It shouldn't be a money reason if we are as financial as the club says.

3 - would have acted on Libba, Dahl and Stringer sooner and more harshly. Instead of keeping on picking them and then 'suddenly' moving them on. Would have handled Stringer departure differently. Completely mismanaged.

4 - id have Bont re-signed by now

5 - id have recriited a proven player (ie Boyd was not and is not proven) of need even if it meant paying overs. To prove we could do it.

6 - Id have poached Hawthorne master kicking coach who is now at the AFL. Would also have poached the Hawks medical guy. Or even Norfs and cleaned out fitness and conditioning.

7 - would have recruited someone with good links to GWS to ensure we got a good look at the talent leaving. Gubby Allen anyone?

So yeah id have done lots differently and much of these concerns were raised by many here at the time

Not 100% sure but final lists have to be lodged Oct 31 (next Wednesday). Would be then at the very latest.

I've just ventured here for the first time in about two weeks and discovered I'm over 5400 posts behind in this thread (well the whole thread actually ... looks like it's been extended).

I'm going to assume I've missed nothing but a few verbal stoushes. Is that a safe bet?
