Also want to add, our two rookie upgrades, Gowers and Lynch look better than promising.

It is going to be a great bag of 9 and then 3 more rookies to add after that, nice.

Question: if Honeychurch doesn't get picked up by anyone else, would he be a good rookie choice? I'm thinking of injury coverage scenarios.

I liked HC's endeavour and hard work and I don't like saying this, but I don't think he is up to AFL level. Unfortunately. AFL is a cruel game, like all professional sports.

Good news, as expected. Although strange he says he'll resign 'in the next fortnight' - don't all resignings need to be made by October 31, otherwise he falls out of contract and is no longer a Bulldogs player? If he isn't signed by Wednesday he's a DFA AFAIK.

Athletic medium defender but very raw. Played at both ends in the VFL and is reasonably pacey.

Big call. He's almost 21 years old and not even on an AFL list after being delisted by a bottom four side.

JJ had been upgraded to the main list and had played 16 AFL games at the same stage.
