Next year could be the third year in a row we miss finals.

I think Bev will do everything possible to avoid that, and when available you grab the experienced A grader.

My assumption is that he will be pushing hard to land a star of some variety this offseason.

Because Mitch isn't that good. People see the surname and figure that he's just as good as Jeremy.
Who has said he's as good as Jeremy? He's on a far lower contract and no way would WCE take two second rounders for their McGovern.

He's a mid-sized player who is quick and can take a grab. With Boyd and Schache he'd compliment us beautifully.

Nope

Do not want him or his brother

If you're over 200cm and not a ruckman then your output has to be like Ben Brown, Jake Carlisle, Eric Hipwood, Joe Daniher etc

I feel if you're that tall and not a ruckman then you have to be elite in quite a few things to make it as a KPP, preferably mobility, agility, speed, onfield presence (strength preferably), marking ability etc

We haven't exactly set the world a light with these types of players and I just feel that there isn't a large enough amount of players at that size who have made it who aren't rucks.

Ayce was too skinny and lacked presence, didn't make it as either ruckman or forward, Cam Wight was very skinny and only really a third defender, Roughy is slow as treacle and doesn't have the same mobility and agility as say Trengove who is a little shorter at 197-198cm and aside from Roughs marking ability he isn't elite in anything else. Boyd has shown some signs but hasn't put it together and has question marks on his onfield presence.

Imo if you're a tall, anything in the 190s is fine as long as you have the reach, strength and aerial ability to not be outmarked. Smaller talls seem to have speed, agility and mobility areas covered compared to your lumbering talls.

I'd want Rozee or Smith with pick 7 if available. Rankine unlikely to be there though he'd fill a void too if he was. Hately even? Don't know much about him but sounds like he's a tall utility/mid.

So you're saying if bulldogs were in a position Hawthorn is in, nobody would act a tad arrogant?

Would rather Hawthorn supporters over Richmond supporters
Personally, I'd be happy to drown both groups of supporters. Too harsh?

The smugness of Hawks supporters is like nothing else. That's what made 2016 so beautiful.

Richmond supporters know pain. I am happy for them to have success. They had great crowds and membership through the years they were hopeless.

Hawthorn supporters are self entitled condensending flogs, who jumped on the bandwagons various stages over the last 40 years.

I honestly believe that our supporter base would be no where near as bad as Hawthorn supporters if the roles were reversed.

Hawks supporters still have nothing on Essendon supporters. You'd think the drugs saga and having not won a premiership since 2000 would have put them back in their box, but the levels of smugness within that supporter base are as elite as they've ever been.

I don’t get all the hype around Scully. Doesn’t rack up possessions, doesn’t kick goals, isn’t tough in the contest or productive enough on the outside. Not much of a tackler.

A great tank, obviously. He’d be a brilliant AFL player if there was no ball to worry about.

Any truth to the rumours that Grundy, Kelly, Rance, Ben Brown and Patrick Cripps have all requested a trade to the Bulldogs?
