North probably the other main club who could stump up similar cash. Wonder if he goes back to Hawks as a plan B?Where else could hill land in melbourne if freo refuse to deal him to the saints?
Freo f’ed that up big time. Saints were offering overs too
Maybe dogs with pick 13 and 2020 second-rounder? Probably best Freo will get now
Freo should be scouting talent in WA and getting all they can while West Coast don't have much imoSorry, how did freo fu** that up? The guys contracted with them for 2 more years. They’re not obligated to do anything. In exactly the same way geelong did last year with kelly, who only had 1 year left on his deal.
Hill can sit out for 2 years if he’s that desperate to live in Melbourne and freo don’t find a trade they like.
Hills entirely within his rights to want to live in Melbourne and request a trade. And as a contracted player, freo are entirely within their rights to make him sit out if they’re not getting what they deem to be fair.
Everyone needs to remember that the trade value of a contracted player is completely different to that of an uncontracted player.
Will be at saints or Freo next year.Freo f’ed that up big time. Saints were offering overs too

Saints still most likely.Where else could hill land in melbourne if freo refuse to deal him to the saints?

Saints still most likely.
Freo want 6 + 2020 first. Saints say no
Saints want 6 + 2020 2nd. Freo say no.
Not a massive gap.
Compromise now needs to be 12 + 2020 1st
No-one loses face. Everyone moves forward.
Alternative is a mess.
Where else could hill land in melbourne if freo refuse to deal him to the saints?
North and Demons may the picks and cap space to do it. And FWIW, I reckon Saints ****ed this up.
While you are here Fronk, do you think Martin will get to Carlton?
Everything is a punt but most have Henry at 12-20 so they should be ok and even if Saints can get BKing, they've got 12 months to organise appropriate trades. Still reckon that's both teams best path forwards.2 problems with that package:
1. Freo want a top 10 pick to ensure there’s no bid on Henry beforehand
2. St Kilda want to keep their 2020 first for ben king.
It’s messy, and I’m entirely on Freo’s side in the whole thing.
I think a week is enough. Build to the weekend, cut off is Friday 5 pm.I might be in the minority here, but I really like the way trade week plays out. Today was fascinating with the Saints/Freo offers/refusals,Fantasia backflipping,GWS/Saints pick swaps and all the various implications.
Sure, actual trades have been slow, but there has been plenty of action with all the various manoeuverings. No-one really knows how things will play out.
So many things could happen over the next few days and will build to a hell of a crescendo next Wednesday.
I would of thought Melbourne’s salary cap is tight. Losing Hogan but have added Lever, May, Tomlinson and Langdon likely to the books. Not sure how they could afford Bruce (Saints rumour) or Hill on more money than what they’d pay Bruce.Who knows though.North and Demons may the picks and cap space to do it. And FWIW, I reckon Saints ****ed this up.

We'd be working on it, but no-one is trading down until other issues are sorted. We would be proactive, everyone is, just not visible to all of usReally would like some proactiveness in getting those 3 third rounders into a pick in the 20's. Hopefully we are doing this tomorrow/early so we then have some great assets to go on a full blown assault.
Keep an eye on Sam Reid still peeps..
Even Sam Petrevski-Seton looked like a world beater in that game.He had his best game of the year against the Dogs. If he played like that every week then I’d take him. Unfortunately I don’t think he regularly hits that standard.
