Was trying to think something up along these lines myself. I 100% agree, although maybe 32 to Crows for Keath and keep 37 and that seems a win-win-win to me

32 or 37 either way works. 17 not as good as 13 but still gives us 2 half decent picks and gets us Bruce Keath which is pretty fair deals all around

Would people be happy with this deal.

45 51 53 (839 points. Helps them for academy) to freo 26 (729 points hence helping freo )and dockers 2020 4th round to dogs. might give us an extra 100 or so points next year if needed. Then send 26 to saints for Bruce pretty fair for both.

Leaves us with 13 & 32 & 80 odd for rookie upgrade. With Keath to get.

I would go to the cats and ask for 17 & 36 Most likely 37 so they stay 1 ahead of us. Offer 37 to the crows for Keath and head to the draft with 17 & 32.

People thoughts seems pretty fair for every1.

Yeah Simpson is not a small forward, I know someone mentioned he was 180cm tall but plays taller than that when I’ve seen him live. Very skinny player but good skills, if/when he fills out he’d be a good type

Even in the body shape he was last year, he was still pretty good.
I don't want Geelong to get him for unders, screw them.
He is almost exactly what we need as a small pressure forward who could rotate in the guts if needed.

The first one is better any day of the week. First round of the draft is below average this year, and the need for talls far outweighs the need for another top end kid, when we got Smith + West last year, and have multiple coming next year through NGA/FS

Depends who the club wants in the draft. In all seriousness getting both and losing 13 wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. But it really shouldn’t be necessary to lose 13 to get both deals done.

In a choice between Cody Weightman and Josh Bruce, I'd take Bruce. Last year we had a higher draft pick in a better draft, where we'd get an elite player with that pick no matter how the picks ahead of ours fell, so keeping that pick was important. This year I think our first pick is far less valuable.

Question to ponder:

Could Josh Schache be played off the bench as a Luke Darcy type mobile ruck back up ? Which would allow
the Bruce, Naughton and Greene forward combination to terrorise sides. I think Schache could be the
exact type of mobile highly skilled penetrating kicking ruck god that Bevo has been craving all these
years and he is right under our noses. English and Schache now that sounds flash !
