3-4 days tops for trade season!! It will stop clubs holding out to see who folds 1st and then be a mad rush for 2 days.

It always reminds me of uni, where you were given six weeks for a project and thought ‘I’ve got plenty of time’ and kept on drinking and doing all the things 19-20 year olds do.

Then the night before it’s due you go ‘oh ****’, stay up all night to finish and then racing to class after no sleep to hand in whatever you ended up with and saying ‘I’ll never leave it that late again’...but you do of course, every single time.

This is why being in a high position at a football club,or anything really,often puts you in a position where you can't please everyone.

I'm in the Bruce and Keath camp,but I strongly suspect if pick 13 goes some are going to completely flip their lids,and some appalling adjectives are going to be directed towards our football club.

Freo midfielder, never played a game in his 2 years there. Played for Peel Thunder this season, among the bests in Rounds 1 & 2 then not again for the rest of the season. Comes from Melbourne, chosen pick 65 in the 2017 draft. No idea why he would appeal to us.

Good question. I've vacillated a bit but currently I am in the latter camp. Also, If we get neither and go to the draft with our current picks, fine.

I would rather see Bruce stay at the Saints than pay overs for him. Due to his age, I think 32 + one of our later 3rds is reasonable and that is that.

Keath, pick 45.

I want Power to hang tough on these proposed trades and be prepared to walk away or look at other options.

From looking at things, Saints are really pushing for Geelong's Pick 24 for Steven. If that gets done instead of thew geelong pick 37 then I have no doubt that Saints will be coming hard for your pick 13 for Bruce + 24. That way, they can do the hill deal for 6 + a 2020 pick. Pick 13 will get Howard from port and maybe Ryder too as a stand alone deal. Then they will try and use 2020 pick t get Jones from Sydney. Would the Dogs do Bruce + 24 for 13..that might be the one that their whole house of cards then hinges on?

I’ll be honest, as the years go on these trade deals with pick swaps and points get more and more complex or maybe as I get older my brain has less capacity to comprehend.

Why would Geelong pay pick 24 for Steven? That's way overs. Don't want to be mean but he will be 30 before 2020 season starts. He only played a handful of games in 2019 because, correct me if I'm wrong, he had time out for psychological issues. Pick 37 is generous enough.
