Will we see any trades tomorrow or will it go down to the last hour Wednesday
I think more will happen this week.
People are so precious these days and think every second,of every hour is about them, last week was about negotiations,a lot of those deals will be closed this week.

Currently there are several Mexican standoffs and those need to be sorted or other deals won’t get done.

Last week was more about selling some soap for tradies. I agree though most deals will be done. And a few will be made official soon after it opens on Monday with details being figured out over the weekend
When’s his draft year...2021..?
2020 so is guaranteed to be playing at the dogs after his first contract if you apply stk logic. Pencil him into you teams now guys

Pick 13 to the Saints for Joshua Bruce and Bradley Hill

Thats almost as good as this one that I stole to post here without any credit to the guy who stole it to post on facebook.

Is your name Ben?

Plenty of these Mexican standoffs will be sorted out this week.
I seriously can't believe the amount of people who are surprised last week wasn't a flurry of activity.
Plenty of clubs will start blinking this week, and we better be one of them. Bruce and Keath improve our side more than pick 13.

Ben King is really good mates with Bailey Smith. We’re a shoe in. Have more assets than the Saints to get a trade done as well.

King would be a massive coup - we’d have the best young talls in the comp and by a far margin.

King - Naughton - Schache - English - JUH - Young.

Could send one of Naughton or King to the backline also if JUH really comes on.

I saw Bailey and the king boys down the Sorrento front beach last summer.

Throwing up Adams as a measuring stick is disingenuous by the crows. Why not use Hamling as a yardstick?

went for 35 - then a durable 24yo proven premiership player.

Using that trade as a yardstick, pic43 for a 28yo injured player with 18 months form is more than fair.

Roughead is also a pretty good comparison, he was the same age as Keath is now. I guess we were more interested in helping our players get to where they wanted to go than winning trades.

If Bruce and Keath are still on St Kilda and Adelaide’s lists next year it is a disaster for St Kilda and Adelaide. The damage is minimal for us but huge for them. When a player nominates another club that is the result of research and planning. They have mentally checked out of their previous club, they are as good as gone. When they nominate they have to go. History says it is a fact.
Stop bloody stressing over it.
These are the facts:
• 13 is not on the table
• We will have Bruce and Keath on our list next year
• That’s it
Those 2 things aren’t facts. Also Bryce Gibbs and Tim Kelly say hi. Both requested trades. Both denied. Both still played well the next year. Then left. Neither lost much trade currency if any at all.

13 and 53 to Adelaide for 23 and 28.
Send 28 to Saints for Bruce. Send 32 to Adelaide for Keath. Trade one of our thirds for a future 3rd. Take 23 and a third to draft.

Why would we downgrade pick 13 if we don’t have to?

Could easily package our third rounders into a nice 2nd rounder for Bruce.

If we could easily do it, I reckon it’d have been done by now. Takes a club with certain needs to actually do it.

There has only been three player trades done so far (Kelly, Langdon and Frost) and only two pick swaps. Don’t think any particular club is in a rush to do anything right now, think most clubs are just feeling out the options. There is going to be a number of teams who could use those third rounders for points (Fremantle, Hawthorn, GWS).

I might get worried if it gets to Wednesday morning and the deals aren’t done, but I’m still confident the Bruce and Keath will get done for some combination of the second round pick and 3 third round picks.

Trading pick 13 will be an option right til the last bell. Bruce and Keath aren’t going anywhere. No need for hand wringing because we haven’t paid top dollar immediately.

Worst case scenario is that we trade 13 and get both of them. That’s an amazing worst case scenario. But there’s no reason not to take our time and see if we can do the deals cheaper.

Those types of trades usually happen later in the trade period as clubs have a better idea of who they can and can't bring in. There's certainty good potential to trade with either Port or Hawthorn in particular as they have father/sons.

Hawks have Maginness rated at 16 by AFL.com so they will very likely have pick 30 eaten up by that bid and it will probably take out pick 42 as well. If we trade our 3 3rd rounders for pick 30 that will give them an extra 200 points to work with. That's a good deal for them if they have the list spots to do it.

Port might be a little more complicated to deal with as they have the Howard trade. They will likely get pick 18 from the Saints but will likely want to trade that up as their father/son Jackson Mead is rated at 19 by AFL.com. Maybe pick 13, 51 & 53 for pick 18, 29 and 66/future fourth could work. That means we would have 18, 29, 32 and 45.

And what if we keep this amazing pick 13 and miss on Keath and Bruce?

We need mature Kps and they have FINALLY nominated us but we are trying to keep a pick in an average draft that COULD be a spud(could be a gun too but who knows? And like we need anymore young players

we are leaving chances for things like the cats pinching Hill from the Saints and of that happens we aren’t getting Bruce

Just do the good damn deals seriously it’s getting boring

Don't worry MD. Keath and Bruce will be playing for the Dogs in 2020. They'll use the first rounder if it comes to it but that option will be available until Wednesday afternoon and they'll try to get it done with our other assets.

We should all know by now that nothing happens in the trade period until the last day.

Sorry but If the Saints don’t get Hill they are not letting Bruce go. They will have absolutely no need to so won’t.

in the end it is what is it but finally having players nominate us and the getting into a p!ssing contest ran by Power isn’t the smartest play in my book but oh well, the suns out so I will just enjoy another sugar free lemonade
