The point on being able to match any deal for Bailey Dale is important, even if he goes down that route (highly doubt it).

1. English
2. Dale
3. Dunkley/Daniel

That's how I would prioritise them. Hard to split Dunks and Daniel for me. I hope we can re-sign them all but if we lost either of Dunks or Daniel I could live it.

If he plays like last week yes! Early days but has traits to be elite in it.
Williams is the exact sort of 'decent' mid-pricer I'd be willing to sacrifice if it meant we kept our priority signings at the club (English, Dale, Daniel, Dunks)

I wonder if it’s a case of .. club and dunks wanting to extend contract.. but maybe the club realises we need to prioritise our defence and are waiting to see if we can pry someone out?

I would keep Williams on the wing and sacrifice Dunks or Daniel.

Williams knowing how we defend is provide good coverage for our back 6. He is also being given the space and licence to attack; with good i50 kicks. He is turning into a better wing option than any other option currently playing for us.

I think all of the discussion about why we "didn't just go out and get x player" will be made abundantly clear as it becomes clear that we've been able to afford and retain the vast majority of our most talented player. When you break down what people were advocating for it actually makes little sense. We were putting the retention of a quality player in a more important position (English) at risk, because we wanted to improve the position that by definition was a back up to the very player we were at risk of not retaining.

I think Dunkley's defensive midfield capabilities are highly underrated. With Libba also near the end I think he'd be a big loss.
That’s definitely why I’m reluctant to move on Dunks. Libba is 30 now and I have no idea how long he plans on playing with his knees and lifestyle.

A few years ago, a lot of us expected Libba to retire early but it seems his priorities in life have shifted a little bit. He’s playing fantastic footy at the moment so hopefully he can keep it up for a few more years yet.

I find the suggestion that Ladhams, Lynch or Fort wouldn’t have been playing most weeks in a side that gave 3 games to Stefan Martin’s corpse and has been rolling out Zaine Cordy as a KPF/ruck all season to be laughable.
This x1million. I’ll die on the hill that Ladhams would have been absolutely perfect

What's Libba's lifestyle these days? Home made gnocchi and being stay at home dad? Those purple pills really got him a bad rap. Would assume half the AFL is worse than him

Daniel will be staying 100%, no way they let someone who won he B&F two years ago leave. I just hope they don't overpay.

I am loving the ferocious libba like attack on the ball West has been showing. Think he steps up another gear next year and gets some mid time

West needs to see a pathway towards inside midfield time. Some part of my mind wonders that with Macrae, Smith, Bont, Treloar, Dunkley & Libba all playing there; the rotation is full. With Libba being a year to year prospect but a proven vital component. Dunkley is the only one not signed long term, who could leave and give West that opportunity. I really like Dunks BUT I want to keep West. Is there another way we can keep West by showing him a spot in the midfield 6 without losing Dunkley?

My dad and his dads local back in the day.

I have many fond memories of being in the Mona as a kid immediately after games at Whitten Oval.

Yep, wouldn't be letting dunks go until someone else in our much vaunted midfield shows a willingness to pick up the slack defensively. We may well be able to re-jig our set up to cover his defensive work but we haven't done it yet in games where he has missed.
