Dees supporters see him as an inside mid. Ball use apparently far too atrocious for him to be valuable on the outside. Our talent ID is pretty good so happy to give the benefit of the doubt but this isn't a pickup that fills me with excitement.

Just read a draft profile on Baker and it highlights his pace, willingness to take the game on and his damaging disposal. Which apparently was lost the day he was drafted?

Seems like a low possession player, so he’d want to be high impact if he’s playing

Hes a low possession high impact player in the roarke Smith mold. I used to work with his dad in asbestos removal and he told me the kid will be a star just needs a coach who believes in him.

Maybe recruiting mids that can only hoof it high toward goal is intentional because our forward line will be Darcy, Lobb, Naughton, Bruce, JUH and Weightman.

Damaging as in costly turnovers.

Since the advent of the draft, the number of kids recruited from the asbestos removal industry have dropped off. Might be an area we can mine, blue sky scenario in the offing.
