There will be a lot more on 2 strikes than people realise. Our club won’t be immune to it either. It feel like they only get named publicly only when they get publicly busted.

Aparently they're getting a second rounder or Lobb for him.Perusing the Saints board he played against us in that elimination final they won, and was very good. Was a rising star nominee in his first year. Saints fans are not too thrilled, their drafting is terrible.

Without injuries based on his early games and under 18s
I would say he's a B Grader ready to become a A Grader
Biggs (23) & Crozier (23) are probably the only two in the last decade that fit that profile. He's also just 23. Just trying to think of the last player we brought over around that age. Been a while hasn't it?

It's a big IF as to whether he can get back to his earlier trajectory. Has a very high ceiling but I think we'll get him for a 3rd round pick for a reason - well worth the punt though.Without injuries based on his early games and under 18s

Yeah agreed, plus it’s around the age where players can take a big step and sometimes it’s not exactly evident before that, it’s the sweet spot for maturing physically/mentally and being up for the rigours of consistent AFL footy. So you really can get some bargains if your talent identification is goodBiggs (23) & Crozier (23) are probably the only two in the last decade that fit that profile.
It's a good bracket to target at times. You potentially get a player who can contribute right away but still young enough to be around for 7-8 years.
Keath shouldn't be in the side to begin with Coffield replaces him and go with JOD and JonesMy overall hopes next year based on the development of players
Is that Buss and Darcy pushing Keath and Lobb out of the side
With a full pre-season under their belts, i hope by round 12 they are a lock in
Sorry to intrude, but most on our board expect maybe a very late second or a third. Nothing better.Aparently they're getting a second rounder or Lobb for him.![]()
Posts like this never require an apology for intrusion. Thanks for the info mate and all the best with this fun time of the year.Sorry to intrude, but most on our board expect maybe a very late second or a third. Nothing better.
Coffield hasn't played for two years, coming off first an acl and then multiple hammy problems, we wont get much in a trade.
For context, I go to Saints training fairly regularly. Coffield has filled out, has a very nice V shape footballers body, and looked good at training in match sim. He was an intercept marker before injured but can't recall him doing so that much at training, maybe it was the drills they were doing, and after two years may have been rusty.
He needs a change, has wanted to get the Dogs for a while by all accounts, and if he stays fit (I think he will) and can find his form, he will be a real money ball pick for you.
Good luck.

True, still more than enough considering they need to it match bids not pick up actually talent. To which they reply - you mean 13 and 22...
We all have supporters that expect overs, I did see alot saying a third rounder which is fair.Sorry to intrude, but most on our board expect maybe a very late second or a third. Nothing better.

They love to win trade week even if their additions to the team do nothing to actually improve the balance of the team or address any structural problems.
Had it before that Collingwood pedo besmirched it.Thanks for sharing.
Not sure bout that user name though![]()
Cornes is hilarious. Said how bad our 8 year deal (essentially 9 years) was and in the same breath said how good Sydney were for offering 10 and that now it'll make Jamarra easier to pry out.The media are so ******* stupid, you’d think we’re the first club to have a star player on a big contract. It’s going to blow our cap out we’re going to lose English & Marra. But Hipwood & Blakey on 8 year contracts no stress, Brennan *ing Cox nah no stress. Naughty, genuine star forward at 23yo - what a disaster for the club
Those of "a certain age" may remember Joffa Boy as a character on the Tarax Show, with Happy Hammond, back in the early days of television on Ch 9.Thanks for sharing.

Also helps to shuffle money around to fit in other deals. As a depressed Bulls supporter
I love the immaturity of AFL when it comes to long-term deals
it's financially smarter for clubs to sign players to long-term deals since they won't have to pay overs in 3 years time.
Just need to restructure their current deal if x player hits current goals such as AA or Coleman
Overall clubs would save a lot of money signing players to bigger deals
If only it was that easy. Yes enough to get the points they need, but probably not enough to beat other offers they will get.True, still more than enough considering they need to it match bids not pick up actually talent.
McKay has only kicked over 30 goals twice in his 8 year career too,Just wondering whether previous long term deals for players like Oliver and McKay attracted the type of negative press that Astro’s signing has attracted. Or was there back-slapping all round, and hearty congratulations that a gun player should be so committed to their own club?
This just reinforces my instinct to ignore the current iteration of the football media in good times and in bad. The bandwagon jumping when we won the 2016 flag actually made my stomach churn. The parasites taking vicarious pleasure in our successes are the same parasites who kick the crap out of us in the media most other times. When (not if) we win another flag with this team, the collective media can get stuffed.
