If Sanders decides he off to Tassie, can he just walk due to some bogus expansion rules or do they need to trade for him?

Tassie will have access to any out of contract players as free agents.

Bogus expansion rules will be made up on the go by the AFL.

Our best option is to extend him for 2 years past Tassie coming in then if he wants to go year 1 then organise a trade, at least we have the power if he is under contract

Blight seems like a no brainer pickup. Dominant at VFL level and delisted by a weak team that has a few KPD options.

There's zero downside to having him on the list instead of Liam Jones

But personally I’m happy to back in JOD & Buss long term.

Would have to see if Blight can defend 1v1 and take contested marks. No use having another Busslinger on the list.

I'd say blight would return to WA with WCE looking for key defenders

Well, we knew when we drafted him that this was a chance to happen!

Can't be grumpy at him taking it, he has stuck fat and been mucked around a bit in my opinion

I think if we had of settled him in one spot he might have developed better

Perfect off season for me would be trade buku for a second rounder , trade that for butts, trade a future 3rd for Tylar young. Getting both of them would be huge for us

Then hit the draft . Grab dovaston will Darcy and someone else with our 2nd rounder . Don’t know much outside of the first round of this draft to pick someone at our second

This is what i'm hoping for too, but add in a Budarick, Bond or Wehr (sounds like Wehr going to Port though) to beef up the small / mid size defenders too.

Blight as a free hit is a bit of a no brainer. Obviously Young and Butts are ahead of him as targets but he's a pretty capable tall defender from what I've seen of him in the VFL.
