What is Borlase like as a defender, I think he's more intercept 2nd tall style than the gorilla FB we might be looking for hey? Is he an upgrade on who we already have or about the same?

Just thinking if Crows want to keep Butts as their next KPD up in case of injury, being contracted another year it might be a no go as far as a trade.

Nothing happening at the club this week until Thursday. I’ve been told that there will be a board meeting this week with exit meetings early the following week for AFL listed players who don’t qualify for VFL. Exit meetings for VFL listed players wont occur until after Footscray is eliminated so you’ll be waiting awhile before you hear any list changes.

We are also making some enquires into adding in additional assistant coaches, not sure if we’ll target Goodwin or Ken but with the cap going up and Bevos new contract kicking in we should have some decent money to play with.

I honestly hope this is true. Goodwin or Kenny, would be outstanding.

I was actually disappointed in Lobb, he has played pretty consistent but some of his insipid slaps at the ball instead of punching were pathetic!

hes a great interceptor when he has a few steps, but he was out muscled standing toe to toe. Needs some coaching and practice - at his height and weight, he should be able to win those types of contests.

If May were still an elite or near elite defender you can deal with some of the dickhead stuff, but he has just regressed a lot this past year and I don't think that is coming back at 34-35 years of age with a lot of kms on the clock...

We missed out on him at the start of the year just due to calling him later than the Saints apparently so we do like him. But he is just a pure ruck only I believe, can't really play fwd from what I've seen so by next year i'm not sure he will be a huge upgrade on Smith if Lachie he keeps up his level of development.

I don't think so. Bevo has been pretty strong on saying that the 5th interchange would effectively be treated as the sub anyway so I don't think much will change for us.
