Don’t know a lot about BillyCrofts but he played a cracking game today. Looks like he could jump straight onto a senior list.

Is he any worse than Lachie Sullivan the year he got drafted? About the same age too. I think there would be clubs willing to pull the trigger for reliable mature depth players

He’d be competing for a spot with the likes of Riley Garcia. In theory McNeil and VDM too but that’s a different role.

Is he an upgrade on any or all of them? I like his aggression and commitment to the contest.

Crofts hasn't made it to the VFL team of the year, Sullivan was in the team a couple times I believe. Crofts had a very good game today, but I thought he was ordinary last week. McKenzie gave him a bath. I'd be surprised if he was on an AFL list next year.

CCP would be a chance, his game is more suited to the VFL where it's more congested though. I don't think his outside game is good enough for AFL, but could at least be a handy backup player for someone.

He is contracted so we should demand that teams Richards and Freijah equivalent as a starting point.

Watching the VFL GF today I thought Baker was really good, particularly when it was needed in the last qtr. Hynes did some nice things. Buss was solid down back. Still think Lewis would be a decent pick-up for a team, not us, but another team.

For the Sharks:
Crossley was the better big man on the ground. Woodcock, Foot and Pescud would be players I'd look at for a late pick small forward. Pescud could have won it for them had he kicked more accurately.

I'd love if we tied big Smith down to an extension , otherwise he might join the long list of 2nd fiddle rucks who find a home elsewhere . And who would blame him ?

You'd imagine he chose a short deal , as much as the club offered one . He'll have options to move .

The dark side of my mind hopes English misses a few games next year, but who knows if Bev would even play Smith in that circumstance.

Crossley was well on top in the ruck contest in the first half. But Smith is obviously fitter and largely broke even in the second half.

He’s probably a year away from being an AFL option (which will be great progress for a 20 year old).

I think he ends up a lot like Stef Martin.

Yeah can’t see Sanders going to saints. I can see him going to Tassie however.
