Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Id imagine it will be two of the three, with the third delisted and re-rookied.I suspect we delist JJ, Coffield and Poulter. Late in the year and in the VFL finals Baker looked to find that gear that was needed and would have earnt an extension.

JJ would probably retire if we delist him. Coffield and Poulter might stick around and do a pre-season training with us so we can pick one or the other come Feb.Id imagine it will be two of the three, with the third delisted and re-rookied.
Sorry I misread the post the club will just have to pick what draft hopefuls they match bids on.True... but post wasn't about Butts
It was having 4 tied players and potentially Butters with the shit new rules
I still think we look to shift the second pick, wether that be up or down. We also shown last year we were happy to be aggressive with pick trades during the draft so think thats a strong possibility again.By my completely unscientific measurement it's our quietest trade period since 2011. All other years we made multiple trades or had more significant changes in terms of trading up/down for points or trading more players in and out.
If we were inclined we could garantee to rookie list JJ without it requiring him to prove himself as a train on player. When we re-rookied McNeil and Doc we did it through the rookie draft.JJ would probably retire if we delist him. Coffield and Poulter might stick around and do a pre-season training with us so we can pick one or the other come Feb.
According to draftguruAnybody care to do the calculus involved to figure out how many list spots we have based on necessary rookie upgrades etc?
But really a mid teens pick and two picks in the twenties. Good on them. F*** hawthornTechnically 3 firsts
Agreed, but that might contribute to a decision not to retain him at all when we want the flexibility (and the advantage of picking between players over the course of a pre-season to make the better decision). If we were inclined we could garantee to rookie list JJ without it requiring him to prove himself as a train on player. I think we would be more likely to keep an extra spot open for a DFA if that were the case, like we did this year. If neither train on player impresses we can again take it to the MSD.Agreed, but that might contribute to a decision not to retain him at all when we want the flexibility (and the advantage of picking between players over the course of a pre-season to make the better decision).
We can easily e.g. stick Poulter up against another delisted player from another club and let them battle it out over pre-season. Much more likely to make the better decision than if we commit to someone in November.
Yes if all 3 of JJ Poulter & Coffield are delisted.Room for DFA?
We didn't address multiple glaring weaknesses, downgraded our first rounder to bring in a guy that was pushed out of his preferred position and had a mediocre seasonOnly rating i saw had us as a D, and the worst. Surprise surprise it is the media
Yep, and then you do some other dodgy trade like a first rounder for a spud to sweeten the deal - not sure if the AFL allows those things thoughAm I right in thinking that we should essentially be hoping Port finish bottom of the ladder next year so they have pick 2 on the table for Zak?
Means they could feasibly just accept the compo and we grab Butters as a FA. Would at least make it a proper discussion about what they’re better off with.

I was going to suggest it depends on the day of the week, but I think you're right.Depends on the team
JJ or Coff would need to be moved to rookie list
Well it looks like buku might have to learn how to defend... Or he can play forward and Naughton can go backJUH is completely off the books.
We traded our first rounder down a couple of spots to get a pick in the 30s, which we then used to trade in Connor Budarick.
Khamis is still a Bulldog.
