They’ll have a 2028 1st rounder too though (their own). For all those brining up Carlton as a worry:
#7 Cody Walker (Bendigo Pioneers/Vic Country)
Midfielder/Forward | 184cm | 26/01/2008
Stats: 25 disposals, 7 clearances, 6 inside 50s
Named best on ground for Team Docherty, Walker showcased unbelievable work rate and power throughout the day. He dominated the first half in midfield and continued to rack up possessions as a high forward, displaying his patented burst speed to advance the play. The Carlton father-son prospect was clean and looked to exit contests like a bull out the gate, before finding wide options or blasting long into attack. He even showed hallmarks of his father’s game with a terrific leap and mark in the third quarter, only missing a goal in his well-rounded game. He’ll be a pick one contender.
You can only use 2 picks next year to match bids which will be their pick call it 7-10 and Sydneys 10-16
They don't have a 2nd rounder next year and then only have an extra draft pick in 2027 which is the Tassie draft
So will we,They’ll have a 2028 1st rounder too though (their own).

Butters will get to whoever he nominates.

Why is everyone so confident about getting a good return for Sanders?Positive is that the picks we give up for Butters we’ll likely get a few firsts back for Sanders the following year if he does go, so we won’t be losing much at the draft.
Just need him to sign on for an extra two years so he is in contract and we can get more for him.
Well he either signs a 1 year extension and we know he is gone so trade him next year or he doesn't and we trade him the year after or he signs long termWhy is everyone so confident about getting a good return for Sanders?
If he is ooc Tassie can just sign him effectively as a free agent? Can almost guarantee the maximum compensation from the AFL would be a ladder tied first.
The picks that Tassie have to trade are for contracted players.
Very important that we get Sanders locked on a contract regardless of whether he wants to go our not.
What if we start setting up our cap so that we can offer Butters a 1 year 5 million dollar contract? That way we don't do a 'rework' of an existing contract, his next contact would just be a 6 year 4 million contract (or whatever the agreed total contact balances out to).I think this was discussed when Eagles fans were saying the same about English. You only need to match the entire length and amount of the contract. So front loading/ back ending the money is irrelevant.

I pay way more attention to NBA than footy these days which a sad state of affairs really.Getting into the NBA made the off-season so much better.
So many games every day.
So I won’t confuse them with mountains. My breasts are, too, small and humble
Bring a Houston Rockets fan kind of excited about this seasonGetting into the NBA made the off-season so much better.
