Am I missing something here? Do player managers have a strange way of doing their job?
We are light on for KPDs. Any fringe KPD coming to us would be an excellent chance of getting a run. Yet the KPDs we are looking at are not expressing interest.
We have a very good crop of mids. Any fringe mids coming to us to be hard pressed to get a game. Yet they seem interested. Baffling
Because none of them are what we need

He shouldn't cost too much but doubt he'd be delisted. Would be great depth.

He's not the best user but runs hard and tackles hard. And I've always thought of him as pretty fast?
Just looked up his draft profile and seems you are right

"his speed and agility is considered elite with a sub-eight second agility test and a sub-three second 20m sprint."

From watching him in the few games he has played it certainly didn't look it to my eye, that could be due to him being forced to a flank rather then his preferred inside role though.

Six years on Brisbane's list without looking like establishing himself as a regular senior player. Would he do any better with us or just continue to be a fringe player mostly plying his trade in the VFL? I suppose being out of contract and keen to move he could indeed come cheap. The question is, would he improve us?
It's a fair question. I personally think he would. Kennedy is case and point. He is a really good club man, and I think Dev will be the same. A hard bastard who busts his arse. Teams walk taller with these sorts of players.

Bringing in unproven low ceiling midfielder makes as much sense as using high picks on ruckman and key defenders. There's always a surplus of mature tough inside midfielders if you need one, the Kennedy, Worpel types but list doesn't need one now so it's an odd move. But maybe the list management team will address the defensive chasm on the list, as well as moving around irrelevant parts of the list.

And Smith helped him cover up the fact that he was drink driving?

If Dunkley is half the professional that people claim he is, off field incidents like this would have certainly rubbed him the wrong way.

Yeah we should have honestly been looking at moving Hunter on at the end of 2020, doubly so know that we know how much he fell off the rails over the following seasons.

Robertson is one of those players we lack. Someone with some mongrel who gets the job done in any way they can. They're not gifted footballers by anymeans but they fight tooth and nail.

Players like Morris, Vlastiun, Oliver, Rowell, Maynard, Crisp, Collins etc. These aren't players you watch in awe as they achieve the improbable, they just refuse to be beaten. Libba, West, Bont, Darcy and to a lesser extent Naughton would be the players I'd put in that category.
Like Mitch Robertson was similar

I know they don’t have to, but I’d be genuinely surprised if there is no confirmation that Wilkie is staying.

Seems like the perfect time to shut everything down.
Maybe he isn't 😂
