Probably the pedant in me, but I would expect a RFA/UFA to "nominate" a club, while a contracted player would "request a trade to..."
Either way, what number will Wilkie wear? Could be a few choices by the time all the wheeling, dealing and delisting is done...
Or maybe he plays 2026 in the #44... at the Saints.
And for those of us who comment on the Rhylee/Ryley/Riley, 2 Baileys and various other names, Wikipedia lists his full name as:

It’s a pretty good indication of how little football I’ve seen in the last four or so years when I say that I’ve legitimately never really seen Wilkie or Butts play and wouldn’t know them if I walked past them. But if you astute legends say they’re quality, then I’m onboard

Butts looks solid and I'm sure he was looking like being a very good FB. Happy to go for him as the big FB.
I can see people's attraction to Wilkie. I don't watch the Saints much but looking at the stats alone he'd be a great addition.

North potentially getting May would help take another bidder out for Butts also. Since the start it has been us and North rumoured to be leading the Butts chase , so this would help us a bit there.

What is the farm in this scenario? Truly elite players make a difference, and this one is ready to go. IF the farm is a couple of first round draft picks, then why not? First of all you have nail the picks, then wait 3-4 years for them to play to their potential. We should be thinking dynasties with the likes of bont, darce, naughton, richards in the side, and instead we finished 9th.
