He is very well respected and rated in the industry.

He was an assistant at GWS after he retired then coach of the AFL Acadamy before going to the Blues.

Yeah the McQualter connection and a good opportunity to be a locked in starting defender for West Coast got Young's interest early it seems.

Yeah I am getting nervous as well. Young is out of the picture. Whilst Butts and Wilkie are more likely to stay than leave. In that case we can forget about landing a decent on on one defender who can play tall. The market has always been thin.

I’m not worried about backing in JOD and Buss, I think their improvement will be better than anyone we pick up bar Wilkie.

What I am worried about is losing Jones and Buku; decent KPD depth, and not bringing anyone else in.
