I like the part where the argument is him being subbed was evidence Bev beleived he was playing poorly and you and 13 others are wrong. Particularly when Bev himself said it was to get more run on the ground as we were being over run. I also like that yoy supposedly cherry picked statistics when they were simply statisticsHe was the best performing of our 3 talls and had kept Voss to no disposals in the first only 3 with the 1 goal in the 2nd and after he was subbed Voss kicked 2 and had 7 disposals Traecy had 11 and 2 on Lobb already whilst Amiss had 6 and 3 on JOD
So he was our leading intercept player as well as doing the best job defensively yet was playing so poor he had to be subbed?
Please provide me the proper stats then to show why he was so poor and the obvious choice to be subbed
This was whilst Buss was playing Voss/Amiss/Traecy all ended up with 3 goals
He does have a strange running gate yet when he has played AFL games hasn't looked out of place and certainly not burnt on a lead. Same as the VFL.She’s probably quicker then Collins/Weitering/Andrews then too
We have been spoiled with having Naughts come in and impact from Season 1. This is not at all usual for KPP especially those that aren't exceptionally athletically gifted.JOD is still only 22, coming late from another sport. I think he’s going to be a very good defender for a long time.

Every argument about Busslinger at least acknowledges the kid isn't ready yet.
With that in mind, we absolutely have to grab a mature body at the trade period.
There's perhaps 1-2 state league kids in the whole country who could help but even they would need a bit of time, even if we had the opportunity to grab them. The MSD has made that avenue a lot harder for us.
With Will Darcy as a FS we look good for developing talls. We need a stop gap for a couple of years though. It's why Walker in the MSD was a pretty savvy move by us. We basically took a third round pick a few months in advance and got to get him into the system early.
Liam Jones looks ok, a delisted free agent so wouldn't cost anything. With Will Darcy as a FS we look good for developing talls. We need a stop gap for a couple of years though.
I was keen on Tylar Young but we're out of that race, and indications are we miss out on Wilkie and Butts. We need to look at other options.
Not sure there’s much you can do when things play out the way they did with Smith. All true and obviously great work. But how’d they go with Bailey Smith and the cats?
No current season stats available
One thing that has impressed me with Sam Power has been how he treats this period like a game of chess and the opportunities this year for him are great.
Gold Coast have an earlish pick in pick 6 which will likely be lost to an Acadamy bid. Is it a shock that the JUH discussion is there. For pick 6 imstead of nothing they can get JUH. Not only that they can not have to pay him so they basically get a year for free to see if he is worth the risk and our pick 28 for points to use against a bid.
We now have pick 6 to go with our pick 10 and depending on our own F&S and NGA a first round pick in either 2026 or 2027 to have 3 first round picks on the table to trade this year.
Can’t say I like Bailey Smith but I could stomach having a couple of dickheads around if they’re talented enough to help us win a flag. And as much of a knob as he is, he turns up to training and keeps himself in shape to an obsessive degree. I get Geelongs approach - the social media stunts, the coke use, etc they don’t care about if he’s helping them contend for a flag, which he is.
Noting I also think he’s a massive ****wit for his interaction with the photographer recently.
It’s what makes me a bit apprehensive about punting Jamarra to another team when we’ve seen Dunkley and Smith, two elite players, move on to greener pastures. The two best teams in it recognised them as positive midfield contributors when we didn’t rate them as such. These are teams we’re (hopefully) aiming to topple, and we’ve made them much stronger while getting very little back. Those trades set us back and pushed them into contention. Which is also a whole other discussion about out of contract players requesting trades to dominant teams with no assets. Will sting a lot more if Jamarra pans out similarly.
Of course it has to be noted there is an enormous chasm between the habits of Dunkley, Smith and the guy who didn’t turn up to training all year.
But if we send Jamarra to a team that is already ahead of us or primed to overtake us, we kind of have to wear it as our choice to send a contracted player there. Just like we made choices around midfield priorities with Dunkley and Smith. Be interesting to see where he goes and what we’re willing to do just to get him off our list.
I think Jordan Croft will be what we expected JUH to be but more aggression and a bit faster also and stamina. Can’t say I like Bailey Smith but I could stomach having a couple of dickheads around if they’re talented enough to help us win a flag. And yet she passed away in 2001….(just kidding, I’m sure Smileys Nan is just fine and should be featuring in the GF sprint)My Nan is quicker than buss
The issue with that is it does not work for either of us. Pick 10 would still go for an academy bid and his salary would push their salary cap.I would be amazed if that were the trade. Much more likely 10, 28 and Jamarra for 6. If we did that and got out of his entire salary it’d be a win.

For us salary this upcoming year is not an issue after our clear out last year with Macrae and Daniel. We also need 2 soild first round picks as a minimum to tempt Port
True but they still don't want JUH's salary but want him without the salary so they can see if he commits. The Suns are quite adept at trading their picks down multiple times to gather points. They did it after we traded with them for the Sanders pick.
Given they gave Geelong pick 7 to take Bowes salary could easily see them doing the same to get JUH with no salary for a yearTrue but they still don't want JUH's salary but want him without the salary so they can see if he commits.
It is his salary and salary alone that will get us anything more than a bag of chips
And to have any hope of trading in an A grader we need 2 reasonable first round picks. We don't bring in an A grader we are unlikely to improve all that much next year even with general player improvements
