Im not sure why anybody would hold Sanders to a different standard of contract negotiation to any other player coming out of contract. But here we are.



No its the known of 4 years of service out of a guy who one would expect to exceed what his produced thus far in his career. For the next two at least. Weighed against the unknown of the magic beans of a draft selection.

I’ve seen enough to know that Sanders can play. Most important thing is to ensure he is contracted so if the unmatchable Tassie dollars come for him, we are compensated from their swag of picks. Not a token compensation pick.

I’ll say one thing on this.

This has very little to do with the football and they cannot convince him to stay. Port knows this, Dogs know this. He has met with senior leaders at the Dogs.

Port knows the situation and most clubs would be sympathetic. I would be surprised if he landed anywhere else but the Dogs, it just whether it is this year. Another father son may also be looking to relocate to Victoria in the foreseeable future. Not necessarily to dogs just Victoria.
