Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
The reverence for him didn't start with either of those trades. Was the 2021 one that made so many of us, myself included, proud of our list management. Wasn't Kennedy also a Treloar type acquisition.Duryea, Kennedy?
I don't think we are to blame, but any situation like this requires an intensive review. There are always tiny things to be done better, no matter how well it's been handled.
A devil's advocate argument would say that we have had two #1 picks fail under this current regime as well as a long, long history of a poor reputation for indigenous players. There are definitely going to be things to improve.
Polite intrusion incoming. And I'm not sure how to word it.
JUH needed a slap. No doubt.
But the fact that he could have stayed and dragged $800k out of your club but decided instead to go play for $250k with a one year contract deserves some credit.
If it was your son and he said "dad, I'm going to drop $600k, move interstate and try to sort my shit out".
You'd applaud your son.

If he took the 800 it would be the last pay check he got. He may be on less next year but has the potential to revive his career.Polite intrusion incoming. And I'm not sure how to word it.

There was no option to stay. If he had a claim to keep his contract for next season, we would be posting 650k for him to play for the SunsPolite intrusion incoming. And I'm not sure how to word it.

Just trying to stay positive mate, I never said Savior.Hoping our developing VFL ruck who is yet to debut at AFL level could be our KPD savior next year is peak BigFooty.

Who knows how we could use our new interchange. But we haven't been given a 1st choice FB, so we gotta suck it up and make use of our best resources.
Ok, I'm just being positive about a humans health and your club. There was no option to stay. If he had a claim to keep his contract for next season, we would be posting 650k for him to play for the Suns
We clearly had grounds for tearing it up after everything that happened this season
Not sure about that.If he took the 800 it would be the last pay check he got. He may be on less next year but has the potential to revive his career.
I hope you are right and I like a lot of those players but I reckon I heard this same thing in 2021 and 2022 when we drafted, Buss, Charlie Clarke, Gallagher, and rookied McComb and Parker. Since then we have only used the rookie draft to keep McNeil and Duryea on the list.We ain't a destination club, always have been that way.....we are underdogs for a reason.
We get nothing handed to us eg Plastics/Suns/Northern Acadamies
No MCG home games/ANZAC/Queens BDay to draw free agents, or pay in brown paper bags.
Sam Power is doing a fantastic job at list building with what he has.
Just the last 3 years
Rory Lobb
Matt Kennedy
Harmes
DRAFT
Fridge
Sanders
Croft
Dolan
Davo
Sellwood
Cleary
All possible best 22 next year.

I was never impressed by those draftees. Though I have watched this recent group closely and like what they have especially Hynes. Have hope for Davidson and Dolan as well.
If you really cared you could've lent us a Cotton On photoshoot or an Aston Martin.Polite intrusion incoming. And I'm not sure how to word it.

Alex Keath and Josh Bruce were nice trades from usOn a trade ladder over last 10 years we would be down near the bottom. The 2 biggest names are Tom Boyd and Adam Treloar and no other high profile players. If we were in business as traders, we would be bankrupt.
Thankfully we have been pretty good at the draft and lucky with father and sons without this we would be a bottom of the ladder team.
We do not have a lot of picks so will have to be spot on with our first pick in this draft.
We certainly seem to have a lot of eggs in the Butters basket. Going to be pretty bleak if we don’t land him given we’ll have plenty of cap spaceIf we don’t get Butters next year, I want heads to roll from top to bottom within our club.
We will still need a KPD more than ever this time next year too.
He's an AFL pet player, now playing for the AFL's nepo team, they'll do everything to protect him, and thereby their brand, screw the rest of us.Haha I wonder which part?
He really needs to grow up or **** off. I imagine he thinks he’s untouchable, once he’s out of the AFL bubble (and he’s unbelievably lucky he isn’t right now) he’s going to be screwed.
Ehhh Josh Bruce had one very good season and one ruined by injury. But his first year with us was close to the worst season i can remember for a player locked in the team each week.Alex Keath and Josh Bruce were nice trades from us
